In 2013, one of the worst crimes for Russians happened. An ordinary assistant lawyer of one of the drugstore chains shot 6 of his colleagues. What was the motive for such a terrible act? Who is he - Dmitry Vinogradov, who became the "Russian Breivik"? Could the crime have been prevented? If so, why did none of those people who knew about his plans do it?

Who is Dmitry Vinogradov - biography, education

The future mass murderer was born in Moscow in August 1983 into an average Russian family. The boy's health problems began immediately after birth, but they were only physical, they were not connected with psychology in any way. The baby was diagnosed with encephalopathy caused by intrauterine oxygen deprivation, the cervical vertebrae were displaced. The boy was able to go only after an intensive course of massage.

Dmitry's childhood was "on the road", as his father was a geologist and often went on long business trips with his family. Psychological problems were added to the boy's physical problems at the age of 2. Doctors from Murmansk diagnosed Dmitry with signs of autism, which was aggravated by a head injury at 4 years old.

After the family returned to Moscow in 1989, the boy began to receive more qualified medical care, was able to go to school, but he was different from his peers - he was withdrawn, shy, could not answer at the blackboard. After moving to a humanitarian class, his condition improved, he even took up tennis. After graduating from secondary school, Vinogradov managed to enter a rather prestigious higher institution - the law university at the Russian Academy of Sciences, and after graduating, he began to develop a career in his profile.

Dmitry Vinogradov - how he became a murderer

After the terrible happened, 6 people died, it became known that Dmitry Vinogradov more than once sought the help of qualified psychiatrists, but he was diagnosed only with prolonged depression. During visits to the doctor, he drew attention to the fact that his consciousness often doubles, he experiences bouts of rage, but experts did not see any serious problems in this.

Dmitry Vinogradov felt rage against the background of an unrealized personal life. He had girlfriends, he broke up with one of them at the time of the crime, and dated the other. But gradually relations with her became colder, psychological problems grew, and the "second" person in Dmitry's body began to methodically prepare for murder.

In August 2012, Vinogradov bought a gun and a carbine, cartridges for them and even special uniforms. For several months he worked through all the nuances of the crime, before committing it, he shared his plans with the girl, published the manifesto on his page in one of the social networks, but no one paid attention to this either.

On November 7, Dmitry without any problems carried weapons and clothes to the office where he worked, changed his clothes and went out into the corridor to kill. He had no plans to kill anyone in particular. He just shot those who caught his eye. Six of his colleagues became victims of the "Russian Breivik". The killer was stopped by an office worker Nikita Strelnikov, who was already seriously wounded by him. When Vinogradov was reloading his weapon, he held back the criminal until security officers came to the rescue.

Investigation of the crime of Dmitry Vinogradov

The very next day after the commission of the terrible crime, the "Russian Breivik" was formally charged in the Babushkinsky department of the Moscow court. In the course of the investigation, it was found out that Vinogradov sought medical help, took treatment, but not the recommended inpatient, but outpatient, that is, he took the drugs prescribed on his own. In his testimony, Dmitry Vinogradov was laconic, confidently answering all questions. He even expressed condolences to the loved ones of those whom he himself had killed, but at the same time drew attention to the fact that he would have continued to kill if Strelnikov had not stopped him, and there would have been many more victims.

A forensic psychiatric examination was carried out in relation to Dmitry Vinogradov. Only forensic psychiatrists were able to establish that the man has progressive schizophrenia, which precludes full awareness and analysis of personal actions. Vinogradov was recognized as socially dangerous, but sane.

During the last word, Vinogradov said that he did not plan to kill anyone, but wanted to shoot himself. He could not explain his actual act. As a result of the court session, he was sentenced to life imprisonment and compensation for moral damage to the relatives of the victims in the amount of 10 million rubles. Now "Russian Breivik" is serving a sentence in the White Swan prison in Solikamsk. The rumors about his death that appeared some time ago have not been confirmed.
