After graduating from college, Obid decided to get a specialized education at the art department of the Tashkent Theater Institute. As a student, he continued to work as a toastmaster at weddings and corporate events. After a while he was invited to a cameo role in the Soviet-Indian film "By the Law of the Jungle". After this project, Asomov entered the international orbit. He toured Europe with his monologues. He acted in films. He is best known for his work in the "Crooked Mirror" project, directed by Yevgeny Petrosyan.
