Biography of Obid Aznamovich Asomov began in Tashkent in 1963. The boy was born on October 22 in the Muslim neighborhood, the city mahalla. The childhood of the future celebrity passed there.
Carier start
At first, brothers Obid and Sabid spoke Uzbek. However, thanks to the father who worked as a guide, the children began to read and speak Russian. Great-great-grandfather Obida was a polyglot, so the head of the family encouraged the children to love languages. The boy became interested in the comedy genre as a child. He liked the performances of the famous Arkady Raikin, Mikhail Zhvanetsky.
Monologues Obid translated into Uzbek, slightly corrected and turned into successful numbers for school amateur performances. In addition to his artistic talent, the boy drew splendidly. Asomov even planned to receive education in this area. He dreamed of becoming a professional artist.
After graduating from school, the graduate entered the art school, successfully completed his studies there. At the same time, the passion for the spoken genre was not abandoned. To earn money for the paints and other consumables necessary for the artist, Obid often led weddings. After school, the guy entered the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after Surikov, but the attempt ended in failure.
The next year, the young man did not dare to leave Tashkent, but entered the local theater and art institute, the department of book graphics. The activity of the toastmaster was not interrupted. Obid began appearing on local television with humorous numbers.
Filmmaking
In 1985, the young artist was awarded the title of laureate of the republican competition of humorists. The famous director Latif Fayziev drew attention to the promising actor. He invited Asomov to appear in his film "By the Law of the Jungle".
The joint Indian-Soviet film became a turning point in the guy's creative biography. Asomov did not want to refuse to participate in the film, but the work required constant travel. At the institute, the student took an academic leave, but subsequently did not return to study. Thanks to the film, he gained popularity. This opened the way for cinema.
Tours across the republic began. Initially, Sabid performed with his brother. In the late eighties, Obid met Mikhail Zadornov. Out of curiosity, the artist, who was on tour in Tashkent, attended a colleague's concert. The meeting with Igor Khristenko grew into a real friendship for many years. For almost two decades, Obid worked in the ensemble of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, although due to his very low height (160 cm), Asomov was not taken into the army. After the ensemble, from where the artist with the major rank left, there was television.
In 2000, the head of the Yalla ensemble, Farukh Zakirov, offered Obid a job. Asomov became the presenter of the ensemble's tour of Germany. Within a month, the musicians performed in almost 30 cities in front of the Russian-speaking population. After them Petrosyan visited the country. He was told about the Uzbek comedian who had impressed everyone. The famous artist remembered the choice of the audience. A few years later, Evgeny Vaganovich found Asomov. By that time, the comedian managed to participate in the "Full House", but his career did not advance.
Humor
Together with Petrosyanov, Obid gave a joint concert, which became the key to successful cooperation. The comedian called his colleague to the "Crooked Mirror" in 2004. The Uzbek artist instantly joined the team. Spectators liked the bright numbers very much. In his performances, the comedian has successfully used the national flavor. A striking example is the scene "Venice" played together with Karen Avanesyan or "In the restaurant" with Elena Stepanenko.
In parallel, Asomov starred in the film "The Giant and the Shorty". The work brought him a prize for the best male role at the Kinoshock festival in Anapa. An artistic career in Russia was gaining momentum, and difficulties began at home. The problems ended only by 2017. Only during the tour in Israel, the artist learned that performances in Uzbekistan were again allowed for him. The outstanding services of the artist in the field of culture were recognized.
He became the head of an animation studio. By this time, the position of national animation was critical. Only state support helped her to get out. The plans for 2020 included the release of 50 multi-projects per year. Little is known about Asomov's personal life. He is a very humble and serious person.
The comedian is happily married. There are four children in his family. His daughters and son tried to act in films, but none of the children chose a father's career. The family man approached raising children seriously. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. The humorist with the dog was very fond of walking, especially in the country.
Private life

Parrots were a special hobby of the humorist. As a child, the boy was presented with a pair of budgerigars. From that moment on, Obid was seriously interested in birds.
