It may seem strange to some, but Victory Day is also celebrated in the USA. Of course, the Americans made a small contribution to the victory of the USSR over Nazi Germany, but officially there is no such holiday on the territory of the United States.

Russians celebrate Victory Day in the USA. Each major city of this country is home to several thousand of our compatriots. Many of them had grandfathers and fathers at war, among whom there are a large number of heroes of Russia.

The parade takes place in the form of a procession. There is no special organization. People put in subgroups information about the collection at a certain time, in a certain place. They usually gather in the morning. At 10.00 local time, the convoy starts moving along a pre-planned route.

The procession participants are carrying flags, banners, photographs of their relatives who took part in the Great Patriotic War. The column sings patriotic songs. Those who have the opportunity wear a soldier's uniform from the times of the Second World War.

At the same time, no one drinks alcoholic beverages, or hooligans. The column moves exclusively along sidewalks and does not interfere with the movement of vehicles. The procession is attended not only by adults, but also by children.

The procession lasts about two hours, after which the celebration continues at home or in a cafe. This event does not interfere with citizens and does not complicate the work of the authorities.

It is pleasant to realize that even overseas, our people do not forget about the great victory.
