Lin Fengjiao is a Taiwanese actress who is very popular in her homeland, but almost nothing is known about her outside the country. On the Russian screen, the actress could be seen in the only film "Armor of God 3", where she played along with her husband Jackie Chan.
Since there are several dialects in China, the name of the actress may sound different. So in Katonese her name is Lam Fung Gyu, in Mandarin - Lin Fengjiao. In the English version, her name sounds like Joan Lin. In her homeland of Taiwan, she was called Lam, and to close friends she was Gyu.
Lin's career began in the 70s, when she and her sister began acting in films. The actress has more than seventy roles. For her work, she has been repeatedly nominated for the Chinese Film Golden Horse Awards.
Until recently, practically nothing was known about the creative career of the actress. Only in recent years, information about her began to appear in the press and on the Internet.
This is not surprising, because Lin played all her famous roles in Taiwan, and foreign viewers have never seen films with her participation. An exception was the work in the film "Armor of God 3". It was only thanks to the fact that she married the famous actor Jackie Chan that people started talking about her outside of China.
After she got married, Lin practically stopped acting. She devoted herself entirely to her husband and raising her son.
early years
The girl was born in a small Chinese village in the winter of 1953 into a large family. When she was seven years old, the family moved to the city, where Lin started attending school.
In addition to her, the family had five more children. To help her parents, the girl started working early. Already at the age of twelve, Lin got a job as a salesman, and a few years later, together with one of her sisters, she began acting in films.
Lin's cinematic career took off quickly. She soon became one of the most famous and popular actresses in Taiwan.
Film career
Lin's films were produced exclusively for the Asian film market. They have never been translated into other languages, and it is almost impossible to find them at the box office.
Most of Lin's films are melodramas. Several times she was invited to work in action films, but, according to the girl herself, she liked to act in films that were kind, positive and could create a great mood for the audience.
During her acting career of about ten years, Lin has appeared in more than seventy films. Films with her participation were released several times a year and have always enjoyed great success with viewers. The actress has been repeatedly nominated for the prestigious China Film Awards.
After Lin got married, she stopped acting and devoted herself entirely to her family. Her only film work with her husband was the role of the wife of the main character Jaycee in the films "Armor of God 3". This film is well known in Russia, especially among Jackie Chan fans.
Personal life
Lin married Jackie in 1982. The wedding took place in the USA. The marriage was modest because Lin was already nine months pregnant and the actors did not want to attract special attention from the press and fans.
A few days after the wedding, Lin gave birth to a son, whom his parents named Fang Zu Ming.
Jackie and Lin decided that only the husband would continue their acting career, and the wife would take care of the child. Lin stopped appearing to the public and tried not to attract the attention of the press. In the early 2000s, she and her child moved to Hong Kong.
