Maria Valerievna was born in Moscow, in 1995. Her mother said that from early childhood she showed a strong and strong-willed character, purposefulness. And from the age of six, she herself wanted to do rhythmic gymnastics. Therefore, we can say that all of Maria's childhood was spent in training halls. The very first trainings were at the Dynamo Sports School, then moved to the Olympic Sports Center.

And when Masha was 14 years old, she began to study with the famous trainers Ulyankin and I. A. Savosina. They became her second family - sports.

First successes and tests

Maria received her first awards in 2008 at the British Open Championship. After that, a period of either fatigue or apathy began, but the athlete quickly coped with this condition and two months later began to train again. Here she was again helped by Marina Ulyankina, who saw great potential in the young athlete.

A series of loads and trainings yielded results: in 2010 Maria Paseka won the gold medal of the European Championship together with the team, personal silver in the vault. In the same year, she successfully performed at the Russian Championship.

It would seem that now the doors to big sports are opening for a successful athlete. However, the tests were ahead - there were injuries that did not even allow you to train at full strength, let alone perform. Maria underwent surgery on the heels, her hip was injured. It seemed that everything was falling out of hand and nothing of the plan would work.

At this moment, the fortitude of the girl, the support of her relatives and the coach's belief that together they would overcome everything, served well.

And in 2012, Paseka received a gold medal at the Moscow Championship, silver at international competitions. This year was the beginning of her career: the Summer Olympic Games in London brought Maria a silver in the team and a bronze medal for her signature vault.

However, in sports, everything happens, and here again the injury - now a back injury and the inability to participate in the World Championship. Maria experienced great stress, rehabilitated for a long time. She gained weight and was unable to exercise fully. Perhaps she twisted her leg out of insecurity.

Many began to believe that Maria Paseka's career was on the wane. However, the main thing that the athlete understood was that she did not want to compete for show. She wants to show the maximum she is capable of and knew that she can and can do a lot. Having gathered her will into a fist, she continues to practice, and her efforts are not in vain: here is 2015, the World Championship in Glasgow - and the coveted gold medal for the vault.

The next year - the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and two silver medals, and in 2017 - gold in the team championship.

Personal life

Maria is a rather open person, but she doesn't really want to talk about her personal life. It is only known that her young man is a former athlete, therefore he understands her and accepts her as she is.

In an interview, Maria said that she could well tell him about her problems, and knows that she will always receive support. But, like any athlete, she quickly gets out of a bad mood and starts a new day with new emotions.

Also in one interview, she said that she loves cars very much. And when it is more free, he will definitely ride a variety of cars.

Maria's plans include participation in various competitions, and later - classes with children who want to devote themselves to rhythmic gymnastics.
