Pavel Vladimirovich Krasilnikov was born on June 15, 1968 in the USSR, in the Karelian People's Republic. There is no reliable information about the scientist's family on the Web.

Pavel Krasilnikov was a researcher, head of the laboratory of ecology and soil geography at the Institute of Biology of the Karelian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. For a long time he taught in Mexico - at the National Autonomous University.

Since 2016, the scientist has been a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Education

In the early 90s he graduated from the Faculty of Soil Science of Moscow State University. In 1996, the scientist defended his Ph. D. thesis on the topic "Taiga soil formation and weathering on sulfide-containing rocks by the example of Karelia". In 2004, Pavel Vladimirovich was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor. Four years later, in 2008, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the genesis and geography of soils in the mountain forests of southern Mexico. In 2014, Krasilnikov was awarded the academic title of Professor of the Department of Soil Geography of the Faculty of Soil Science in his native alma mater, where he has been working since 2010.

Pavel Krasilnikov is a specialist in the field of soil genesis and geography, mineralogy and micromorphology.

At the Faculty of Soil Science, Moscow State University, he teaches courses "Soil Cover of the World", "History and Methodology of Soil Science", "Food Security: The Importance of Degradation and Rational Use of Soils."

Pavel Vladimirovich wrote over 180 scientific papers. From under his pen came out 76 articles, 12 books, etc. The scientist is regularly published in specialized periodicals. For example, in the Russian journals "Soil Science" (publishing house "Science"), "Forest Science", "Economy of the Region" and foreign journals Eurasian Soil Science, Geoderma Regional, Solutions, SOIL and others. He is also a member of the editorial boards of Geoderma and Geoderma Regional, Soil Science and Boletin de la Sociedad Geologica Mexicana. The scientist regularly publishes manuscripts and participates in scientific conferences, makes reports.
