The future artist was born on July 8, 1963 in Khabarovsk. Her father was a military man, so the family moved to a new place of residence several times. The girl spent her childhood in Voronezh. From the very birth, Marina was fond of music and constantly participated in school concerts. She graduated from the children's art school with a degree in piano. In Voronezh, Zhuravleva became the main soloist of the ensemble of the Palace of Pioneers.

Then Marina was invited to the ensemble "Fantasy" and the VIA "Silver Strings" at the city philharmonic society. After graduating from high school, the girl went with this group on her first tour, which lasted about four months.

A year later, Zhuravleva became a laureate of the competition for young performers in Dnepropetrovsk. This allowed the singer to first enter the Voronezh School of Music, and then transfer to Moscow. 1986 was the turning point in her career. By that time, the girl was a soloist of the Sovremennik jazz group. Marina successfully graduated from the Gnessin School of Music and met her future husband Sergei Sarychev. He was already a famous musician and lead singer of the Alpha group. It was Sergei who suggested Zhuravleva to start a solo career as a singer.

The next few years become the most fruitful in the singer's life. She records and releases several albums, constantly tours with concerts, and also shoots many video clips. Her main hits are the songs "White bird cherry", "Scarlet carnations". Marina, together with Sergei, writes all her songs. The audience likes the singer's mischievous and sonorous voice. All albums instantly sold out among fans in thousands of copies.

In 1991, Zhuravleva, along with Sarychev, was invited to tour America. At first they are very reluctant to leave, but they stay in the United States for many years.
