Biography
Alla Aleksandrovna Abdalova was born on June 19, 1941 in the city of Podolsk, Moscow Region. Parents named her Albina. Subsequently, Abdalova took the name Alla when she became an actress of the operetta theater. The girl's father and mother were educated, intelligent people. They raised their daughter, trying to reveal her creative abilities. The girl studied at a music school and attended various circles.
Alla grew up with her sister, who became a dancer in the future. Her sister performed in the "Song and Dance Ensemble of the Soviet Army" under the direction of Boris Alexandrov.
Alla studied excellently at the secondary school. After graduation, she immediately entered GITIS (State Institute of Theater Arts named after A. V. Lunacharsky). The girl was lucky enough to get on a vocal art course with the famous opera singer Maria Petrovna Maksakova. The artistic director of the future singer was Lev Sverdlin, a legendary theater and film actor. Alla was one of the best students on the course. She had a beautiful mezzo-soprano voice. Alla devoted all her free time to study. Classes in a creative university demanded a great deal of work and skill from Abdalova.
The talented student was invited to participate in various concerts. In 1964, Alla performed the romance at a concert dedicated to the October holiday. When Abdalova was on the stage, singer Lev Leshchenko saw her. He also performed in this concert. Alla and Leo began a romantic relationship. After two years of dating, the young people got married.
After graduation, Alla was offered an internship at the Bolshoi Theater of the USSR. However, she chose the operetta theater, where her husband Lev Leshchenko already worked. Later, the singer recalled that she wanted to be closer to her husband.
After two years of work in the operetta theater, Abdalova moved to the orchestra of Leonid Utesov. Because of this, the couple began to see each other less often. Their touring schedules often did not coincide. This adversely affected their family life.

In 1976, there was a decline in the singer's creativity. After her divorce from her husband, she became addicted to alcohol. Alla Alexandrovna withdrew into herself, began to lead a solitary life. For some time, the woman was helped by singing in the church choir.

Personal life
Alla Abdalova and Lev Leshchenko met when they were students of GITIS. During their first meeting, Leo noted with surprise that Alla is very similar to his niece. To make sure of this similarity, Alla agreed to go to Leshchenko's home. The resemblance to Leo's niece was really noticeable.
Lev Leshchenko's parents accepted the girl as the son's bride. In 1966, young people registered their marriage. Their wedding took place at the groom's house. To set tables for 40 guests, all things and furniture had to be removed from the room. Alla's white dress was sent to her by her sister from abroad. She lived in England with her husband, an embassy counselor.
At first, the newlyweds lived with Leshchenko's parents. The spouse had a successful singing career. Lev Leshchenko was given an apartment in Moscow, in the Chertanovo area, where they moved together. Alla Abdalova was jealous of her husband for his work. She accused Leo of non-existent betrayal. She also reproached him for not wanting to have children. The singer artificially terminated her pregnancy four times.
Alla could not survive the creative success of her husband. Quarrels and conflicts began in the family. In addition, Lev Leshchenko started an affair with a young girl Irina Bagudina. During the next fit of jealousy, the singer put her suitcases with her husband's things outside the door and filed for divorce.
Their marriage lasted 10 years and did not bring Alla the joy of motherhood. A period of oblivion and loneliness began in her life. She did not find the strength to return to the stage and arrange her personal life again.
