Childhood
The father of our hero Mikhail Pakhomov was a native of a village near Lipetsk. During the first five-year plans, he joined the Komsomol and became the leader of local youth. A good organizer was sent to work in Sverdlovsk, where he met a beautiful Siberian woman Ekaterina. The girl taught at school. Soon they got married, and the first-born was waited for in the most turbulent time. Volodya was born in July 1942 alarming.
The parents tried to make the boy's childhood happy. Workers who gave all their strength for the Victory over fascism could please their child only with intangible values. When Vova was 4 years old, his father fell seriously ill. The family moved to Odessa, where they started the tradition of visiting the Opera House on weekends. The kid was so impressed by what he saw that he wanted to become a conductor. He trained for his future profession, staging performances at home and in amateur ensembles.
Youth
The talented boy was noticed. Senior pupil Pakhomov was enrolled as an actor in the Odessa Russian Drama Theater. After the prom, the boy, without hesitation, went to Moscow and entered GITIS. There he studied on a course with Andrei Goncharov, a famous director and publicist. A number of productions of classics, on which this master worked, have been captured on film. The mentor instilled in Vladimir an interest in directing. Having received his education, the boy knew exactly who he wanted to be.
Returning to Odessa in 1965 was triumphant for the young man. The graduate became the head of the local Youth Theater and became the youngest director of the country of the Soviets. Vladimir carefully chose the repertoire for his theater. The debutant was guided by his tastes, presented on stage stories created by almost his contemporaries. Conflict and love
In all ages, pretense has been associated with wanderings. In the USSR, artists no longer had to wander around the fairgrounds, but the craving for changing places was in their blood. In search of inspiration, Vladimir Pakhomov was ready to wander from theater to theater. When he was offered to head the theater in Petrozavodsk, he gladly agreed. Arriving in 1975, the director met a local connoisseur of beauty - the head of the Karelian Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Ivan Senkny. The guest from Odessa tried to show off his humor, which caused an outburst of anger among the official.
Acquaintance with colleagues on the stage took place in a more friendly atmosphere. Among the actresses, Vladimir noted Valentina Brazhnik. Her friends intimidated her with the fact that by reciprocating a person who was in conflict with her superiors, she would ruin her biography. The girl did not believe the gossips. She became Pakhomov's wife. The newlyweds decided to leave Karelia, ending the protracted scandal. In 1976, Valya gave her husband a son, who was named in honor of his grandfather Mikhail. It was no longer respectable for the young father to continue to quarrel with Senkin.
In the small homeland of the father
Vladimir Pakhomov more and more often recalled the stories of his parent about the places where he spent his youth. In 1977, together with his wife, the director arrived in Lipetsk. There he began working at the local state academic drama theater named after L. Tolstoy. Here our hero staged his best plays. He gladly took on the classics, regardless of whether it is domestic or foreign, intended for an adult or a small audience. Many performances were awarded and presented at all-Union and foreign festivals.
The former brawler and bully has settled down. Having learned happiness in his personal life, he stopped looking for reasons for quarrels with higher ranks. Pakhomov was repeatedly elected a deputy of the city and regional councils, the townspeople respected him as an authoritative fellow countryman and keeper of traditions in art. In 1988, on the initiative of our hero, the Lipetsk Theater Meetings festival was organized, which the following year received international status.
last years of life
In 1992, Pakhomov's family life cracked. Vladimir and Valentina divorced. The Honored Master's health began to fail more and more often. He was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus, but the disease did not force the director to quit what he loved. He increasingly spent time with students of the local theater university, trying to pass on his experience to them, regretting that his son did not follow in his footsteps. In November 2007, Vladimir Mikhailovich died of cardiac arrest.
The contribution of this director to the cultural life of Lipetsk and the theatrical art of the whole country was marked by the opening of a memorial plaque on the house where Pakhomov lived. The director's heir went into business.
