The beginning of the way

Theater life
After leaving the walls of the institute in 1952, the young man got into the Ermolovsky theater. There he played his first roles. At that time, Lobanov worked as the director of the troupe. He invited the former student to join the creative team.
For eighteen years, Andreev went to the stage of the theater, which became his own. Since 1970, Vladimir Alekseevich took over as chief director. Performances based on the plays of Vampilov, as well as performances based on the works of Eduard Volodarsky, Diaz Valeev, young playwrights, were held under his leadership.
However, there is no theater without intrigue and scandals. In the eighties, due to internal strife, the troupe almost collapsed. Vladimir Alekseevich could not observe this. The actor became the head of the Maly Theater, leaving his native team. Valery Fokin replaced Andreyev for a short time.
In 1990, Vladimir Alekseevich returned to his native walls and never left them. Later, the actor said that because of the current situation, people who worked on stage together for decades could become implacable enemies. It took a lot of effort to fix the situation.
Andreev succeeded: the new generation of performers is not even aware of the previously thundering behind-the-scenes storms. The actor devoted a lot of time to teaching. Since 1972, he headed the Department of Acting at GITIS.

Filmmaking
The master did not limit himself exclusively to the theater. Andreev starred in films. The film debut consisted of the cameo role of a Komsomol member in the film "Faithful Friends" by Mikhail Kolotozov. Later, the actor played a minor character Yurka in the film "Certificate of Maturity".
The main role in the comedy "Good Morning" became the first serious film work. Thousands of spectators fell in love with the charming excavator operator Mitya Lastochkin in his performance. His most striking works are considered "Night Patrol", "Bastards".
Many viewers remember Andreev for the role of Tsar Saltan in the fairy tale of the same name. Fans liked the modern projects "Jamaica", "Forgive me, Alyosha", "Ultimatum". The film "The Arrow of Love" is referred to the iconic works of the actor.

The actor's family life was happy. Andreev's first wife is actress Natalya Arkhangelskaya. In 1953, their daughter Olga was born. The marriage lasted several years. The actors parted, maintaining a good relationship for the sake of a common child.
Olga currently works as a teacher at MGIMO and is the wife of director Vladimir Basov. The second darling of the young man was also an actress.
