A characteristic in the military registration and enlistment office is drawn up either by representatives of the educational institution in which the conscript is studying, or by the head from the place of work. The characteristic is compiled in any form. Should contain information about the personal data and behavioral characteristics of the conscript.
Compilation requirements
Characteristics of a conscript are provided when enrolling in the ranks of the army at the request of members of the draft board. The characterization in the military registration and enlistment office is drawn up in order to characterize the young person as a person and as a citizen. It should include a socio-psychological and behavioral assessment of the subject. A characteristic for a student is issued from the place of his study, and a characteristic for a working young person is issued from his place of work. The characteristic is drawn up on a letterhead. It is recommended to indicate all the details and the outgoing registration number.
The presentation is conducted from a third party, preferably on behalf of the direct teacher (dean, head of the department) or head. The writing style is formal business. The presentation of data is allowed in any form, but with a clear logical structure and sequence of facts in the present or past tense.
What information should be stated in the characteristic
Despite the arbitrary form of the presentation of data in the characteristic, it must contain mandatory information. Such data include:
- the name of the document itself;
- personal data of the subject (surname, name, patronymic, date and place of birth, place of residence);
- personal data of all family members, incl. parents, brothers and sisters, wives and children (surname, name, patronymic of all close relatives, their dates of birth, place of residence and place of work);
- information about studies, namely: names of all completed educational institutions, level of education, academic performance, attitude to learning, information about distinctive achievements;
- information about social activities (including participation in political parties or non-political organizations);
- information on the performance of work duties - initiative, conscientiousness, responsibility, accuracy of tasks, level of professionalism;
- general information about health and its characteristics (including information on the number of sick leaves);
- a description of the character of the conscript, his temperament, a description of moral principles and norms of behavior;
- a description of relationships with classmates or colleagues, the level of the subject's communication skills, the presence of leadership qualities;
- information about the hobbies and hobbies of the conscript, his interests;
- the purpose of issuing the compiled characteristics;
- signatures of the originator and other authorized persons;
- Date of preparation.
