Early period
Aaron Russo was born on February 14, 1943 in New York. When he was young, his parents decided to move to Long Island. There the boy went to kindergarten, attended various sections, graduated from school. Teachers noted that Russo would go far. In an educational institution, he easily mastered even the most difficult disciplines, demonstrated phenomenal memory.
Career
Aaron's father was in business and tried to involve the heir in it. It was possible to do this, but after a few years Russo Jr. became interested in the entertainment industry.
In the spring of 1968, Aaron opened a nightclub. The Kinetic Playground quickly gained popularity and became one of the most sought-after establishments in Chicago. Famous rock musicians performed there. In addition to working in the club, Russo was involved in public relations for vocal projects. Among them were Bette Midler, The Manhattan Transfer. Immersed in creativity, in 1970, Aaron created several musical productions.
The next stage of career development was the production of films, among which "Swap Places", "Rose". Six of Rousseau's films were awarded Oscars, two more - Golden Globes. During his film career, Aaron Russo has directed over 20 films.
His final work was documentary, which caused a great stir. America: From Freedom to Fascism predicted the emergence of a New World Order and denounced the US tax system.
Russo in politics
The beginning of the 1990s for Aaron is associated with the start of political activity. Then he made a film where he questioned the work of the North American Free Trade Area, the government's war on drugs.
In 1998, Aaron took part in the elections for governor of the state of Nevada. He represented the interests of the Republicans. With 26% of the vote, he became the second after Kenny Guinn.
In 2004, the politician ran for the presidency of the United States. Initially, he was a self-nominated candidate, later he represented the Libertans.
In 2007, during the presidential elections, he actively supported Ron Paul. A little later, he created the political organization "Revival of the Republic", through which he planned to implement the ideas presented in the film "America: From Freedom to Fascism". Rousseau was important to convey to the public, in his opinion, the true picture of the events taking place in the United States.
Dubious death
Aaron passed away on August 24, 2007. He passed away at the Los Angeles Cancer Center after 6 years of battling bladder cancer. Then the famous politician was 64 years old.
Many people do not believe in the natural origin of Rousseau's health problems. Aaron himself, upon learning about the diagnosis, assumed that he had been injected with carcinogenic chemical compounds.
A few months before his death, Aaron gave an interview in which he spoke about his controversial friendship with Nick Rockefeller.
