Biography
Near the cities of Kutahya and Manisa, in the mountainous city of Usak, Turkey, on April 27, 1972, Mehmet Kurtulus was born, becoming the second son in the family. As soon as he was 18 months old, his parents decided to move to Germany. The choice fell on the independent city in the south-east of Lower Saxony - Salzgitter. They successfully merged into German society and occupied their niche in it. Mehmet's father taught social studies and Turkish to children at school. Mother took care of the house and sons. Thanks to the support of their parents, Mehmet and his brother Tekin were able to develop their talents.
Career
Closer to senior classes, Mehmet became interested in theatrical play. He was offered to enroll in a circle where they taught acting and staged school plays. The stage became a part of his life.
After graduating from school, Mehmet no longer imagined himself outside the theater. The first professional stage in his acting was the stage of the South Westphalian Summer Theater in Freudenberg from 1991 to 1993. There he was noticed by representatives of the Braunschweig State Theater and offered a job. But their collaboration with Mehmet lasted only two years. In 1995, Kurtulus moved to the State Theater of Hamburg, where he had a significant meeting with the director Fatih Akin. Seeing the theatrical performance of the actor, the aspiring director Fatih did not hesitate to offer Mehmet one of the main roles in his debut film Quickly and Without Pain, which was released in 1998 and was a success with the public. Two years later, viewers again saw Mehmet Kurtulus on the big screens in the film "In July" directed by Fatih Akin. Thus began Mehmet's professional career in the film industry.
He was recognized and invited to several projects at the same time. In 2001, films with his participation "Heart" and "Tunnel" were released, in 2002 "Equilibrium" and "Nudes". Personal life
On the set of the 2005 film Love in Saigon, Mehmet met actress and TV presenter Desiree Nosbush. The couple's relationship developed rapidly, despite the fact that Desiree was married to the composer Harald Kloser and they had joint children - son Noah-Lennon Kloser (born 1995) and daughter Luca-Teresa Kloser (born 1998). In 2006, Harld officially agreed to divorce, and in 2007 Mehmet Kurtulus married Desiree Nosbus.
