Step 1
Use scissors to cut a copper circle.

Grind the obverse, reverse and edge of the workpiece.
Step 3
Using a sponge or cloth, apply a polishing paste to the surface of the blank to remove minor scratches from the surface of the blank after sanding.
Step 4
Print on photographic paper a sketch prepared in advance (a portrait of the person to whom you are giving, the inscriptions are what you want to see on the obverse and reverse of the finished product) in accordance with the expected size of the medal received. On the back of the printed image, mark the top of the image.
Step 5
Place the medal on a napkin. Place the cut sketch on top of the pattern to the blank. With an iron heated to maximum, press the entire drawing for 15-20 seconds. Then iron the entire drawing thoroughly. The quality of drawing the image on the medal blank depends on this stage.
Step 6
Prepare the workpiece for etching. To do this, carefully so as not to remove the toner layer, remove the paper from its surface. The paper comes off better if it is soaked beforehand. In areas where the paper is particularly sticky, use cotton swabs or a sharpened match. Cover the remaining open pores with varnish.
Step 7
Secure the medal in a wire loop and place the structure in the pickling solution for 60 minutes.
Step 8
Carry out the final finishing work: remove the toner with a cotton swab with acetone, sand the product with a zero-emery cloth, give a matte shine with a polishing paste.
