The future three-time Olympic champion was born in Tyumen on August 28, 1984. Anastasia's maiden name is Shipulina. The girl became the first child in a family of masters of sports in biathlon and cross-country skiing. Three years later twins were born here - Anton and Anya. The younger brother of Anastasia later became a world famous biathlete, champion of the Olympic Games in Sochi.
As a child, Nastya tried many sports. Later, this was very useful to her when training in biathlon. Anastasia started skiing under the guidance of her parents. In addition, the girl was engaged in figure skating and karate. But in the end, Nastya opted for ski nordic combination.
Anastasia has a higher education - she graduated from the Tyumen Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Anastasia received her first awards for participation in cross-country skiing in her childhood. Later she was included in the national team of the region. At the age of 15, she took up a rifle and already at the junior level she collected a significant number of medals of various denominations.
Anastasia got into the Russian national team in 2005. For two years she represented Russia at the highest level competitions.
In 2008, the circumstances of her personal life forced Anastasia to play for the Slovak national team. It was with the beginning of a new stage in her career that Kuzmina began to show the highest results in biathlon.
Experts believe that the main sporting achievement of Anastasia is the gold medals of the Olympic Games. Her first victory in these competitions took place in 2010 in Vancouver: the girl won the sprint race. Four years later, the athlete repeated her success in Sochi.
During the break between the two Olympic Games, Kuzmina received a serious hand injury. She even had to miss important stages of the World Championship for any biathlete. After the Olympics in Sochi, family circumstances brought Anastasia out of the world of sports for two years. In 2007, Nastya got married. Daniel Kuzmin, an Israeli skier of Russian origin, became her chosen one. Young people met during a sports training camp. After the wedding, Anastasia changed her surname and moved to live in Slovakia, where her husband had lived for many years. At the same time, Kuzmina decided to play for this country.
In 2007, Kuzmina gave birth to a son, Elisha. In 2015, a daughter, Olivia, appeared in the family.
Anastasia is very fond of culinary art. She likes good modern music. At the end of her sports career, Kuzmina dreams of opening a small flower shop. The athlete is also engaged in charitable activities, providing all possible assistance to sick children.
