Biography: early years
Vincenzo Iaquinta was born on November 21, 1979 in the town of Cutro, in the Italian region of Calabria. In the eighties, many residents of this southern province began to move in search of a better life to the northern part of the country. The Iaquint family is no exception. So Vincenzo began to live in one of the large northern regions - Emilia-Romagna. He spent his childhood and youth there.
Vincenzo became interested in football during his school years. Thanks to his high growth and powerful impact, Iaquinta showed excellent results as a striker. Together with his brother in the 1996-1997 season, he defended the colors of the club "Reggio", which was in Serie D. Vincenzo played 33 games on the field and scored 6 goals. For a beginner footballer, these are good indicators. His game attracted the attention of breeders from more status clubs. And in the next season, Vincenzo already played in the Padova team, which played in Serie B.
Six months later, the club's management decided to sell it to Castel di Sangro. There Iaquinta spent almost two seasons. During this time, he became a prominent player in the base. For this club, he played 52 games and brought 8 goals.

During the summer transfers in 2000, Vincenzo made the transition to Udinese. The club played in Serie A, which is considered the Major League of Italian football, and was the traditional middle peasant in the final table. In 2007, Iaquinta got a chance to prove himself as part of the world football grandeur - he was acquired by the famous Juventus.
