People's Artist of Russia Diana Vishneva is the prima of the Mariinsky Theater and the American Ballet Theater, winner of the most prestigious awards: "Benoit Dance", "Golden Sofit", "Golden Mask".
Diana was born in 1976 in Leningrad, in a family of chemical engineers. Her parents gave their children the opportunity to develop in all areas where they have interests, so Diana went in for sports as a child, went to a math circle, and was also a member of the children's dance group at the Palace of Pioneers. The teachers noted the girl's high abilities, and her mother decided to take her daughter to the choreographic school for viewing.
From the first time, Diana did not pass the selection to the Vagankovo School, and for another year she danced in the choreographic studio of the V. Maxim Gorky, and the second attempt was successful - at the age of 11 she began to study ballet seriously.
As Vishneva herself says, then she still did not really understand what ballet is and what it means to be a ballerina - she just liked to dance. However, the teachers of the school inspired the young artist so much that she firmly decided to go to professional ballet. In addition, very soon everyone began to notice her talent, supported and infected with enthusiasm.
Ballet career
The beginning of Diana Vishneva's ballet biography can be called a powerful take-off: while still a student at the ballet school, she made a splash at the Lausanne Prize competition. Her numbers from the performances "Coppelia" and "Carmen" were staged by Igor Belsky, and for these performances the girl received the Gold Medal of the competition.
A year later, Dina, a graduate of the Academy of Russian Ballet, became a member of the corpse of the Mariinsky Theater. And then - the most responsible and interesting roles in their troupe and at the invitation of other theaters. For example, in 1996 she danced at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, then at the Italian La Scala, the legendary Paris Opera, the National Theater in Munich, at the Berlin State Ballet, at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, and at the Finnish Theater Mikkeli town.
Many of the overseas performances were innovatively revised by the famous Rudolf Nureyev, and this was interesting for the young ballerina. It was also nice to try to dance new roles that are not included in her role at the Mariinsky.
For her work, Diana Vishneva in 2007 received the title of People's Artist of Russia.
Now Diana creates her own projects - performances and solo programs. She also organized the Context festival, which aroused great interest among ballet fans. The festival was first held in 2013, and Vishneva herself took part in it as a dancer. In addition, she helps aspiring dancers through the Ballet Development Foundation.
Talent is talent everywhere, and Diana can also confirm this: she became a model and an actress in addition to her main profession. Since 2000, Vishneva has been the face of the Tatiana Parfyonova fashion house, and the Louis Vuitton fashion house has photographed her for the cover of Harper's Bazaar. As for the cinema - Diana starred in the film "Gentle", and together with Renata Litvinova in the drama "Diamonds. Theft".
Personal life
It is hard not to notice a slender girl with huge brown eyes, and as soon as Diana came to the Mariinsky Theater, the dancer Farukh Ruzimatov, who was also her partner on stage, drew attention to her. He was 13 years older, but this did not prevent them from dating. They were even considered husband and wife, but they never got married.
In 2013, Diana married the producer Konstantin Selinevich, who, among other things, is also a successful businessman. The wedding was in Hawaii, everything was fabulous. And since then, a real support and protection has appeared in Diana's life - her husband.
They lived together for a long time, and in May 2018 they had a son, whom they named Rudolph, in honor of the famous dancer Nureyev.
