Instructions
Step 1
Before starting the process of immigration from Ukraine to Canada, clarify and collect information about the state structure of the country, peculiarities of living, the cost of renting housing and travel on public transport, conditions of retirement, etc. On the official website of the Canadian Embassy in Ukraine, check out the list of immigration documents that you will need to prepare.
Step 2
If the collected information satisfies you, and the decision and desire to change your place of residence is final, then your next step will be to choose the category by which you can immigrate to Canada. Immigration to Canada from Ukraine is possible under the same programs as for all other citizens of the CIS: - "Qualified specialist" category. Canada provides an opportunity for immigration to qualified specialists in those areas that are priority for the country's economy. The assessment of the level of professionalism and personal data, including the state of health, is carried out according to a point system; - family category. If your close relatives live in Canada, and are ready to sponsor the costs required for immigration, and also undertake to bear the costs of living in the first time, feel free to start preparing the required documents; - business category - makes it possible to provide permanent residence for investors, entrepreneurs, and also people whose activities are already taking place in Canada. It is also suitable for athletes, farmers and people of the arts; - if for some reason the listed categories do not suit you, there are a number of provincial programs for which you can also enter Canada. But you should take into account the fact that if your application is satisfied, you need to settle directly in the province of the country to which you were selected.
Step 3
Submit your documents to the Canadian Embassy. Canada's new Immigration Act now removes the ability to choose where to file and register immigration documents. Thus, if earlier there was an opportunity to submit documents to the consular departments of the Embassy of Canada in Kiev, Moscow and Warsaw, now citizens of Ukraine can register only at the consulate of the Canadian Embassy located in the city of Kiev.
Step 4
After submitting immigration documents, you will be sent a recommendation and a notice of invitation for an interview and a medical examination, or a notice of refusal. The procedure for reviewing documents can take up to 12 months.
Step 5
Get a medical examination and get a health report. For residents of Ukraine, this can only be done in the medical departments at the consulate of the Canadian embassy in Kiev, where the applicant and his family members will be invited after the interview.
