Russian citizens need a visa to enter Sweden. This state is part of the Schengen area. Tourists have the right to travel to all countries that have signed the agreement, having received permission from one of them. Step 1
Collect the documents required to obtain a visa. If you are traveling as an independent tourist, then you need to contact the embassy personally. Traveling on a voucher allows you to make a power of attorney to a third party with a notary and entrust him with the paperwork. Also, a travel agency can deal with this procedure. But she must have accreditation at the embassy.
Step 2
Fill out the form in English and Swedish and sign it. Submit proof that you have paid for your hotel stay in full. If you are going on a trip through a travel agency, present a document that proves this. Make a copy of the spread of the passport and all pages of the Russian passport that have marks. Take a job certificate confirming employment and position. You also need a bank statement confirming that you have sufficient funds for travel (at least 40 euros per day). Take out health insurance that is valid in Sweden and the Schengen countries. For children under 18 who travel on their own, permission from legal representatives is required.
Step 3
Pay the visa fee. If you need to get an entry permit in a short time, then the amount of the fee will be 2 times more. Children under 6 years old, students of Swedish universities and close relatives of citizens of the country are exempted from the visa fee. If you are refused a visa, the paid fee will not be refunded.
Step 4
Apply for a visa at least 7 days before departure. As a matter of urgency (3 days in advance), documents will be accepted for consideration if you have a ticket with the specified date on hand. The visa is usually issued for 90 days, but your presence in the country is limited to the time specified in the hotel reservation or invitation.
