It is very difficult for a modern person to imagine his life without a TV. At one time, graduate actress Nonna Bodrova was very worried when she began to read the text “on camera”. She was among the first announcers who worked on the All-Union television.
A distant start
Back in 1949, the production of the first mass TV set for home use began. Within a couple of years, specialists began to install a television network throughout the country. Nonna Viktorovna Bodrova during this period was educated at the famous Moscow Art Theater School. The future actress dreamed of playing leading roles in classical performances. She did an internship on the stage of leading theaters in Moscow. Seasoned directors paid attention to the promising performer. In her graduation performance, Nonna brilliantly performed the role of Ani in the play "The Cherry Orchard".
The future host of the television program "Time" was born on December 17, 1928 in an intelligent family. Parents lived in the city of Leningrad. My father taught mathematics at the university. Mother worked as a librarian. The girl from an early age dreamed of becoming an actress. The fact is that her mother took her to children's theater performances on weekends. Nonna studied well at school. Of all the subjects I loved history and literature. I read all the books that were recommended to her in the library. After school she went to Moscow and entered the theater school.
Television work
After completing the course in 1956, the certified actress joined the troupe of the Yermolova Theater. Meanwhile, the Soviet television network expanded its broadcasting territory. The work required not only engineering and technical personnel, but also specialists with acting data. Two years later, Nonna Viktorovna was invited to the post of announcer of Central Television. After some hesitation, she agreed. Bodrova's debut fell on the experienced announcer Igor Kirillov. In the future, this duet became an example of a professional attitude to the work of a TV presenter.
At first, news broadcasts were broadcast only in recording. Even emergency messages were checked accordingly. Nonna Bodrova chose the right style of behavior on the screen from the very beginning. She dressed discreetly. I did my hair simple and neat. Representatives of the female part of the audience imitated the TV presenter. Bodrova's professional career developed successfully. In 1968, a new news program "Time" appeared on the first All-Union TV channel. The first hosts of this program were Bodrova and Kirillov.
Recognition and privacy
The professionalism and creativity of the TV presenter were appreciated by the leaders of the state. Nonna Bodrova was awarded the honorary title "Honored Artist of the RSFSR". In 1977 she became a laureate of the USSR State Prize.
Bodrova's personal life has developed well. She got married only once. The husband and wife raised their son. Nonna Viktorovna died in January 2009.
