Jeffreys Jim (real name Jeff James Nugent) is an Australian actor, performing primarily in the stand-up comedy genre. He is also a screenwriter and producer, creator of his own entertainment show on Comedy Central.

Jeff James was born in Australia on Valentine's Day in 1977. Later, when the young man had already started performing as a stand-up artist, he took on the stage name Jim Jeffries, by which he is now known all over the world.
His parents had nothing to do with creativity. My father had his own small business in the carpentry industry. Later, things went badly, so he went to work in one of the educational institutions, where he was engaged in repairs. Mom was a teacher at the school.
Although the family did not have much income, in the 1960s, parents were able to buy a small house on Turramurra Street. Later, this quarter became one of the most prestigious in the city, where mainly people of high income lived.
Jim has 2 older brothers, so he never got bored as a child. Boys constantly got into stories and gave their parents a lot of trouble.
Creativity began to interest Jim in his school years. He took part in many performances and musicals, where he got mostly funny roles. According to Jeffries himself, he was a very shy boy, especially in adolescence. He did not manage to get to know the girl in any way, he was lost, could not find words and tried to attract less attention to himself.
Jim had a desire to become an actor after he saw one of the performances of the famous Eddie Murphy. It was then that the young man decided that he also wanted to become an actor and make a career in show business.
Jim's work education began quite early. Parents sent the child to work when he was still a student at school. The boy first worked at the post office and was engaged in delivering letters and newspapers. Later he got a job at McDonald's.
After completing his primary education, the young man went to Western Australia, where he entered the Academy of Performing Arts - the Academy of theatrical arts. He failed to receive a diploma. Jim decided to pursue a career and left the academy shortly before graduation. He spent his first performances as a stand-up comedian in Sydney, then went to England, and later to America.
Creative way
An interesting incident helped to attract close attention to Jeffries. At a performance in a Manchester club, the young man was attacked. This case received widespread publicity. Later, the video of the attack was included in the 2008 CD "Contraband". Jim himself commented on the incident with humor. The comedian's performance was shown on one of the American television channels, which added to Jim's popularity.

Personal life
Jeffries was not officially married. In 2012, he began dating actress Keith Layben, and in the same year, their son Hank was born. Young people never formalized the relationship, they did not become husband and wife. After 2 years, the couple broke up, but Jim continues to take an active part in raising the child.
