Step 1
Before going to the post office, find out if you can forward the items you want to include in the package. To do this, look at the list of items prohibited for shipment on the Russian Post Office website. In addition, it is worth asking about such a list specifically for the country of destination, because additional rules may be established in each state.

Measure the dimensions of the shipment. It will be considered a parcel if it fits into the following parameters: from 110x220 mm or 114x162 mm to 1.05 m in any dimension, the sum of the length and perimeter of the largest cross-section is no more than 2 m. The weight limit is a maximum of 20 kg.
Step 3
Pack the package. Keep in mind that it will take a long time on the way, which means that the packaging must be strong and well-adjusted in size. If you cannot find a suitable box, fill the empty space inside with paper or wrapping film to prevent items from rolling during transport. Wrap fragile attachments additionally with a cloth or bubble wrap.
Step 4
Take the parcel in an open form to the post office. There, its contents will be checked and given to you for filling in customs declarations. You will need to indicate the addresses of the addressee and addressee, describe (in detail and specifically, without general definitions) the contents of the parcel, indicate its purpose.
Step 5
You can track the journey of the parcel through the mail website. After selecting the appropriate item in the site menu, enter the postal identifier (it is written on the check issued when the parcel is received by the postal worker).
