When the film becomes successful and popular, fans, having watched it several times, become interested in the filming process. And the film "Twilight. Saga ", based on the novel by Stephenie Meyer, is no exception.
How the first three films of the saga were filmed
The first part of "Twilight" was released in 2008, directed by Catherine Hardwicke. For the role of Bella, Kristen Stewart was immediately chosen, but Edward was originally supposed to be played by Henry Cavill. The role of Rosalie was offered to Aishwarya Rai, but she ultimately refused, and the role was played by actress Nikki Reed.
The second part of the New Moon saga, directed by Chris Weitz, was released in 2009. Wolves first appeared in it, and Taylor Lautner, playing the role of Jacob, by this time had time to pump up his muscles with hard training.
To make Pattinson look like a vampire, he was carefully made up, and visual effects were used to give his face a glow.
Actor Michael Sheen, who played the role of Aro from the Volturi clan, had previously played in the vampire film "Underworld" in 2003. He did not immediately agree to the role of Aro.
In 2010, the third part of Eclipse was released, directed by David Slade. He was already known for his other directing work - the vampire film "30 Days of Night". Many expected a similar style from him, but these expectations were not met. This part of "Twilight" turned out to be quite calm and romantic.
Shooting the final parts
In 2011, fans of the saga were able to see Breaking Dawn: Part 1 (directed by Bill Condon). In anticipation of filming, Robert Pattinson decided to follow the example of Taylor Lottner and tried to make his body more muscular. He trained in the gym for six months and followed a special diet.
In this part, Bella and Edward get married and have a daughter, Renesme. According to the plot, Bella's pregnancy is difficult and she acquires painful thinness. So that Kristen does not have to lose weight and risk her health, her copy was created - a doll with an emaciated look.
Under the direction of Bill Condon, the last film in the saga - "Breaking Dawn: Part 2", 2012 was filmed. Although two parts of "Breaking Dawn" were released on screens with a break of several months, they were filmed without interruption.
Many of the scenes that take place against the backdrop of nature were actually filmed against the backdrop of screens and on film sets.
Bella first appears as a vampire. She looks more confident, her style changes.
The image of the daughter of the main characters Renesme was created using computer graphics. The child can see the face of the ten-year-old actress Mackenzie Foy. The image of 18-year-old Foy was also created using computer effects.
The final part of "Twilight" turned out to be the most spectacular. It is hard to believe that the filming process of the last large-scale scene on a snow-covered field took place in an indoor film studio.
