Biography
Grigory Iosifovich Morozov was born in Moscow in August 1921. His father held an important position at a perfume factory - he was the commercial director of this production.
Grigory studied with the son of Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin - Vasily. In the same school, one of the students was Svetlana Alliluyeva, with whom Grigory had known since childhood.
Personal life
In her memoirs, Svetlana Alliluyeva wrote that in 1944 she married Morozov. He was Jewish by nationality, which Joseph Vissarionovich did not like. Then the father resigned himself to this choice of his daughter, but set a condition that her chosen one did not come to Stalin's house.
Soon, the young husband and wife became happy parents, giving birth to a son, Joseph, Stalin's grandson. Subsequently, the young man grew up, became an honored scientist, cardiologist and doctor of medicine.
At first Svetlana was afraid to show the child to her father, fearing a violent reaction from the parent. But, seeing the baby, Joseph Vissarionovich melted. So then his daughter wrote in her memoirs.
The marriage of Grigory Morozov and Svetlana Alliluyeva lasted until 1948. They say that the "leader of the peoples" himself had a hand in the divorce. Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin learned that the father of his son-in-law had served his sentence at one time, and then began to speak to the right and to the left that he was meeting with his matchmaker Stalin. The head of the USSR of that time could not stand such a thing, and the father of Grigory Morozov was sentenced to 15 years for allegedly slanderous fabrications in relation to Joseph Vissarionovich.
Career
But this unpleasant incident did not affect Grigory Iosifovich Morozov. Perhaps this was influenced by the loud statement of Svetlana Alliluyeva, who told her father that if her ex-husband was arrested, she would commit suicide. Then Morozov G. I. issued a clean passport, in which there were no marks of marriage, divorce. But after the divorce, all family photographs were taken from Grigory Iosifovich, where Svetlana was depicted, as well as her letters.
After World War II, Grigory entered MGIMO, graduated from it, then the famous son-in-law of Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Grigory Morozov became friends with Lavrenty Pavlovich Beria, was well into their family. Later, Beria's son said that he and his father treated Grigory well, supported him in every possible way after the divorce.
Lavrenty Pavlovich Beria and Svetlana Alliluyeva contributed to the release of Father Gregory from the camps in the spring of 1953. And the first husband of Svetlana himself in recent years taught international law at the MGIMO Institute. He passed away in December 2001 at the age of 80.
