Biography
Oleg Shcherbakov was born in 1963. He was born in the German city of Magdeburg. Then he and his family moved to Kryvyi Rih. Here the boy went to school. Already in childhood, his artistic talent manifested itself, which his parents encouraged in every possible way. Therefore, the Shcherbakovs' husband and wife had no doubts about where their son would go after whom, how he would receive a secondary education. Oleg went to the State Pedagogical University in the city of Krivoy Rog. He chose the graphic department.
Career
Oleg Shcherbakov graduated from the university, stayed to work there as a teacher of fine arts. The painter works here to the present time. He became a senior lecturer. Shcherbakov teaches novice masters of plastic anatomy, the basics of composition, painting.
Shcherbakov chose for himself such a technique as glazing. To recreate such canvases, the artist applies almost transparent paints of the desired shades one on top of the other. This helps to achieve amazing colors.
The artist likes the beauty of Yalta, the Crimean coast, the Gurzuf yayla. Therefore, he mainly reproduces the plots of these places. Shcherbakov creates subject compositions, still lifes, portraits. He often draws people in the clothes of the last century. His heroes stroll along the sea embankments, along the narrow southern streets in vestments of the early 20th century.
