Benedict Wong is a British actor and screenwriter who has taken part in more than 50 film projects to date. The actor is best known for his roles as Kublai Khan in the Netflix television series Marco Polo, Bruce Eun in the Ridley Scott's The Martian, and Wong in Marvel's Doctor Strange.

Benedict Wong was born on July 3, 1971 in Eccles, Greater Manchester in northwest England. The Wong family are emigrants from Hong Kong who came to England via Ireland.
The future famous actor spent his childhood in the City of Salford - a large area with the status of a city in the county of Greater Manchester.
He received his acting education at Salford City College, completing a two-year course. During his studies, the future actor worked as a ticket collector at the Green Room Theater, which still works to this day.
