American actor whose acting career began at the age of eight months. He shared each role with his twin brother Dylan for most of his career.
Biography
Was born in 1992 in Tuscany, Italy. Cole's parents, Matthew and Melanie, were American citizens and worked as English teachers in Italy. Cole is the eldest son in the family, his younger brother, Dylan, was born 15 minutes after him.
A few months after the birth of the boy, his family returned to America, the Sprouses settled in their parents' hometown, Long Beach, California.
In 2011 he begins his studies at New York University. At the beginning of his studies he plans to study film and television production, but after a while his interests change, Sprouse decides to engage in practical archeology.
During his studies, he went to excavations in European countries. One of his most significant finds is the Dionysus mask found in Bulgaria. After completing his studies in 2015, for a short time he worked in the laboratory and went to the excavation sites.
Career
The Sprouse brothers began acting at the age of 8 months at the insistence of their grandmother, an acting teacher. For several years, children have starred in commercials, appeared in television shows and films. Since the child labor law limits the time a child can spend on set, the directors happily worked with the twins to finish filming faster.
From 1993 to 1998 he starred in the television series "Grace Under Fire", plays one of the main roles. The series was very popular among viewers and critics.
Cole played his first movie role in 1999, in the movie "Big Daddy". The film tells the story of an infantile thirty-year-old bachelor, Sonny, who does not want to be responsible for his life. Sprouse and Dylan played the child Sonny's mother left behind.
In 2001 he starred in the family comedy "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus". The role of Justin, the boy who caught his mother kissing Santa Claus, was also played along with his brother, Dylan.
In 2002 he starred with his brother in the adventure film "The Master of Disguise".
After 2012, he took a hiatus from acting, after returning, in 2017, starred in the television teen drama "Riverdale". For this role he received the Teen Choice Awards and was nominated for the Saturn Awards.
