Danny Leberne Glover is an American actor whose film career has been going on for almost forty years. He became famous for his roles in the films "Place in the Heart", "Witness", "Lethal Weapon", "2012". Glover is also active in the community. He won the 2007 Racial Justice Prize. The artist is also a UN Goodwill Ambassador.
Throughout his creative biography, the actor has created many different images on the screen. The beginning of the biography
Danny was born in San Francisco, in the summer of 1946, into a family of postal workers. The boy was the eldest of four children and therefore had many chores around the house. He helped his parents with the housework and looked after the younger members of the family.
Danny began to dream of an acting profession and get involved in art from school, participating in theatrical performances. And later he began to attend seminars at the American Conservatory Theater and the studio of actors Jean Shelton. But before Glover performed his first roles and made his dream come true, it was still a long time.
Danny was educated at the George Washington School, and then went first to college, and then to the university at the Faculty of Economics. After receiving a bachelor's degree, the young man begins to work in the local administration. The work does not give him either joy or satisfaction, and he again begins to think about a creative career.
After a while, he finally decides to leave work and start mastering acting. Danny moves to Los Angeles and begins attending numerous auditions, trying to find work in film or television. He also goes to university and a few years later earns his Ph. D.
One of the interesting facts of his biography is that Glover suffered from epilepsy for many years and coped with the disease on his own, developing a special, individual technique based on self-hypnosis. By the age of thirty-five, he completely got rid of the disease.
Film career
In the late 70s, Danny first got a small role in the television series and in the movie "Escape from Alcatraz". This is followed by numerous works in low-budget films and television projects, where he also performs episodic roles.
Thanks to his height, charisma and acting talent, Danny attracts the attention of directors and soon he receives an offer from Robert Benton to take part in the filming of the film "A Place in the Heart". From that moment, the rise in the career of an actor began, and a year later he got a role in the thriller "The Witness", where the main role was played by G. Ford. The film received recognition not only from the public, but also from critics and was nominated for an Oscar.
After the first big success Danny began to receive numerous offers from producers and directors, and he starred in new projects, among which the most successful were: "Flowers of the Purple Fields", "Predator 2", "Leaving the Dead", "Lethal Weapon". In addition, Glover has appeared in many television films. One of his most striking roles was the image of Mandela in the picture of the same name.
Glover became world famous for the films Predator 2 and Lethal Weapon, where he, along with Mel Gibson, plays one of the main roles. The acting duo soon became so popular that the directors decided to continue filming the film about the fellow policemen. Personal life
The actor was married twice. The first marriage to Asake Bomani lasted almost 25 years. Young people met in their student years and got married almost immediately. The couple soon had a daughter, Mandisa.
After a divorce from his first wife, Danny remained alone for a long time, and only nine years later he tied the knot again with Eliana Cavaleiro, a school teacher from Brazil.
