Biography
Shishkin Yuri Vasilievich was born on August 24, 1963 in the city of Azov, Rostov region.
Mom - Sofya Andreevna - a master of light women's dress, dad - Vasily Ivanovich - a master of planing machines. Sister - Svetlana.
Yuri's mother herself strove for everything beautiful and taught her son to this. She grew up close to radio and listened to symphonic music. She knew the opera Carmen by heart. Yuri often saw his mother sew, watched the fitting of dresses. Mom also drew him into the process of creating dresses. She asked how and what is better to sew and how any bow, scarf or pattern on the dress would look. Thus, Yuri understood more and more that there is something lofty and aesthetic and that it should be taken seriously.
Yuri drew a lot, especially animals. I dreamed of becoming an artist, but my mother thought differently. She saw her son as a musician. For three years Yuri studied at the art school in the city of Azov. The birth of a love for music took place in Yuri for an agonizingly long time. He badly graduated from the school of arts and secretly from his parents prepared documents for admission to the art school. Grekov. But it didn’t happen. At the insistence of his mother, he passed the exams at the Rostov School of Arts for the bayan department.
The birth of a musician
Years later, Yuri remembers the moment when he began to feel music and love it. In the third year of college, he analyzed the first part of the play "Concertstuck" by K. M. von Weber. He tried to delve into the plot of the play. The first eight bars Weber devoted to the feelings of a woman who led the husband of a knight-crusader to battle. She stood at the top of the castle. Sad thoughts overcame her, confusion covered with a heavy wave. In Weber's music, it turned out so beautifully and sensually. These first bars sank deeply into Yuri's heart. From some of the chords a tear flowed and my heart trembled. That's when he realized - he is a musician. In those moments he was musically born and connected with music forever.
Further training in music went from the heart. He continued his studies at the Rostov Music Pedagogical Institute. Fate brought him together with the great teacher V. A. Semenov.
My lovely teacher
Yuri proudly talks about his teacher Vyacheslav Anatolyevich Semyonov. He is now over 70, but he still inspires Yuri. He admires his attitude towards life, his aspirations and principles. He is full of energy and still shares it with his students. Semyonov is the highest master musician and composer. He not only teaches the musical technique of playing instruments, but instills a love for everything related to music. He constantly pushes horizons and pushes musicians beyond the boundaries of the possible. He endlessly connects music with life. His own compositions are unusually organic, natural and viable. While learning a play, he makes the heroes of the work imagine, understand their feelings and put them into the game.
Semyonov-composer wrote a lot of music, where all sounds are alive and real, they are from life. In the "March of Soldiers" through the notes he managed to convey the sound of the march: the sound of soldiers' boots and a drum. There is a work where Semyonov portrayed a person's dream. There are ingeniously written notes that reproduce the puffing of a sleeping person.

He remembers well when he really felt that he could achieve the highest mastery. He passed his first music test at a competition in Voroshilovgrad. He remembers how hard this competition was psychologically given to him. Many could not stand it and left. He remained among the strongest. I met and made friends with the best. Among the best was Vladimir Murza, and now Yuri calls him "the musical brother".
At the age of 25, Yuri Shishkin began his concert activity. The first solo concert took place in 1982 in Rostov-on-Don. Further, an extensive concert program in the cities of Russia. In 1989, the inhabitants of Amsterdam heard his masterful playing of the button accordion.

The road to academic music
It is accepted that the button accordion is a Russian folk instrument and the Russian folk repertoire is mainly played on it. But Yuri Shishkin does not think so and is gradually switching from folk music to academic music. For a long time he forbade this to himself. He doubted, and all the time asked himself the question: "How am I going to take on this royal music?" Opening the notes of the symphonic suite "Scheherazade" by Rimsky-Korsakov, he understood that this was the special music of a special composer. He knew this music from childhood, the violin always sang so beautifully there. He unconsciously defended everything beautiful from himself. What can a button accordion give to a piece written for a symphony orchestra? He was just afraid to touch her accordion. But the desire turned out to be stronger, hands and heart just stretched and for good reason. After all, it was the symphonic music, transcribed to the accordion notes, that made him a musician with a capital letter. He treats her so carefully and sincerely, with such strong love that the music just flows from under his fingers.

Personal but musical life
They met at a music school. Where else? Galina is from Grozny. Received an elementary musical education in the piano class. She wanted to continue her studies in music in Moscow, but two attempts to enter the institute failed. But later Galina was lucky. She entered the Rostov School of Arts and not the piano department, but domra. And all because before the entrance exam, Galya broke her arm and could not play the piano, but everything worked out on domra. So it's time for Galina and Yuri to meet. Everything coincided, because the button accordion and domra were at the same faculty.
They got married in 1989. Children were born - Andrey and Alla. The whole family is musical. Mom is a music teacher, honored worker of the All-Russian Musical Society, dad is a virtuoso master of playing the button accordion, Alla is a pianist, Andrei is a guitar, balalaika and piano. But the son liked computers more and preferred them.
How to become the best
When Yuri was 50 years old, he realized that it was time to give knowledge. Began to teach. There are few students, but they all show great promise. In many, he sees future stars. From the very beginning he teaches them not just to play the button accordion, but to sing with the sound of the button accordion. He explains to students how to become the best and what is the secret of being needed and popular. And there are only four secrets:
- to listen to a lot of good music in good performance, to be saturated with it in order to take the basics of mastery from the accumulated musical baggage;
- do a lot to make the instrument a way of expressing your feelings. To achieve full contact, so that the button accordion becomes a part of the body, vibrates with you, so that you do not want to part with it;
- love your teacher. Do not come to music in order to just take. You need to come to wake up the teacher, to give him your interest. Then the teacher will gladly give you his archive of knowledge, which he does not give to everyone;
- making an adequate sacrifice is the most important secret. There is little that will help you ascend to the top if a person is not able to sacrifice rest, sleep, communication with family and friends. Only this will be appreciated by your work, and only this will give a chance to reach the peak of perfection.
