Biography
Juan Manuel Mata Garcia was born in the spring of 1988 in the small Spanish town of Burgos. His father, Juan Manuel Mata Rodriguez, was a famous football player and really wanted his son to follow in his footsteps. Mato Sr. was distinguished from most of the athletes by his small stature and he was doubly laid out on the field to prove to the whole world that success in football can be achieved even with a small stature. Mata Jr. inherited from his father not only a predisposition to football, but also growth. This fact encouraged his father even more to send the boy to the field.
Juan Mata's first club was Real Madrid from the city of Oviedo, the boy got into the team thanks to his father's connections. At that time, Mata did not have outstanding skills, but he differed from his peers in increased diligence and hard work. He quickly learned and progressed, and five years later he was invited to the academy of one of the best clubs in Spain, Real Madrid.
Career
In the "royal" club, the future star of Spanish football and the English championship spent a little more than three years. The club's management did not see the potential of the young footballer, and in 2007 he signed a professional contract with Valencia. Juan Mata immediately took one of the key positions and played almost all the matches of the season. In four years, he appeared on the field 174 times and managed to score 46 goals, making a huge contribution to the success of the club.
In 2011, the English grand Chelsea, led by André Villas-Boas, agreed with the Spanish Valencia to transfer the promising young footballer Juan Mata. The team gave an extremely low result during the season, and in March the head coach was suspended from work. Juan Mata was able to demonstrate his skills and gain a foothold at Chelsea for a long time. In 2012, he won his first major trophy with the Aristocrats. Having creatively beaten Bayern Munich at their home stadium in the final on penalties, Chelsea won Europe's most prestigious Champions League trophy.
After three seasons, the famous athlete joined the Red Devils camp. With Manchester United, Juan won the FA Cup in 2016, the FA Super Cup the same year, and the League Cup and the Europa League in 2017.
National team
For the "Red Fury" Juan played for the first time in 2009, and for five years was a key player in the team. In total, he played 41 matches in the colors of the national team, in which he hit the opponent's goal ten times. In 2010, at the World Cup in South Africa, Spain became the world champion, and two years later won the European Championship.

The principle of the project is simple: joining, any athlete who wants to transfer monthly 1% of his salary to the fund, then this money is distributed among those in need.
In just a year of the foundation's existence, more than 30 famous athletes have joined it, including: Shinji Kagawa, Mats Hummels, Giorgio Chiellini, as well as women's football representative Alex Morgan and Red Devils coach Jose Mourinho.
