Biography
Igor Filippov was born in 1968 in the Latvian capital. He spent his childhood in Jurmala - a resort and festival city. And the boy himself grew up to match his city - mobile, active and purposeful, he almost never sat at home. He played with the boys, swam and sunbathed. There was a case when, carried away by swimming, he almost drowned. However, fate saved him for theater and cinema and for his roles.
Moreover, he himself wanted it. The Filippov family had many children; they lived together, but very poorly. But this circumstance taught children to be modest, and also taught them to overcome difficulties and obstacles in life. In addition, from childhood, Igor learned to make important decisions for himself on his own.
He also discovered an entrepreneurial talent: he once put on an impromptu concert on a summer stage and made some money. And he was then only twelve years old. The audience was fellow summer camp, and they highly appreciated his artistic skills.
With the money he earned, the boy bought ice cream and gave it to all his friends. This is also typical for an actor - sociability and openness.
These qualities helped him in the army, where he served for two years at that time. And after military service, Igor rushed to the capital of the USSR - to enter the VGIK. Soon the film debut of Igor Filippov took place: he played an episode in one of the melodramas. And in 2002 he was invited to shoot in the action movie "Code of Honor", and immediately after a short time - in the famous film "Turkish March".
During the same period, the successful actor took part in a project of Russian-Argentine production - the tape "In the rhythm of tango". He played a significant role here.
Filippov became famous after the crime tape "At the corner of the Patriarchs". The series tells about the activities of a private detective agency, and the actor played in it his namesake - Major Igor Petrov. It was a great job, and soon he was invited to the melodrama "Snow Love", where his partner was the magnificent actress Lydia Velezheva. Many viewers referred to this film as a real Christmas present.
The next partnership was even more successful - Filippov starred in the detective film "Archangel" (2005) with Hollywood star Daniel Craig. In the tape about Stalin's secret archives, he played a supporting role.

After returning to their homeland, Igor and Julia played a wedding, and their daughter Lyon was born. Igor at this time worked at the Riga Theater, his wife tried herself in business.
A few years later, a son, Darius, was born in the Filippov family, and the couple's troubles increased. Despite various difficulties, the family remained friendly and passed all the tests.
Of course, now they rarely manage to get together all together: Igor's wife lives in Riga, he often goes on set in Moscow.
It so happened that Darius lives in Riga, and Lyona studies in Moscow, at GITIS. She also does ballet.
