Biography
Stakhovsky's life began in early January 1986 in the capital of Ukraine. His father works in the medical field at one of the most famous Ukrainian institutions dealing with oncological branches of urological diseases. The tennis player's mother is employed as an economics teacher at a higher educational institution. The athlete has two brothers: the elder followed in his father's footsteps and became a qualified urologist, the younger is just beginning his career in tennis.
When Sergei just graduated from kindergarten, his grandfather first showed him what tennis is. The boy became interested in this sport from the very first matches. All his youth, the tennis player trained in Kiev, but closer to adulthood he began to travel around Europe in search of a suitable place for training and living. The final choice was Slovakia. He liked the culture, climate and sports facilities of this country so much that he still spends his free time from competitions there.
Sports career and achievements
From the very youth, great hopes were pinned on the tennis player. After all, Sergei brilliantly showed himself at local competitions, almost always reaching the prize places. In the local tennis league, thanks to persistence and stability of performances, he got into the top thirty.
In the early 2000s, the famous native of Kiev first stepped into the arena of the adult category of tennis. The first competitions were held in the Czech Republic in the league of the same name. It was in this division that several years of Sergey's professional matches took place. His goal was to become at least the thousandth athlete in the world rankings.
After a couple of years of hard work, he managed not only to get into this top, but also to surpass many tennis players. Stakhovsky's results improved with each month of his performances in the professional league. At some point, he reached one fourth of the finals of world-class competitions and was able to win the match against the 29th athlete in the world grid. Thanks to this victory, he became the 200th "racket" in the world. In the future, he many times both climbed to the top 100 and descended to the thousandth place. But tennis is the business of his whole life, to this day he participates in qualifications and tries his hand, even taking into account the "sports retirement".
Personal life
Stakhovsky Sergey believes that there is no point in hiding your marital status, being a famous athlete. One of the first chosen tennis players was a follower of the same sport as Sergei, originally from Slovakia. But in September 2011, a Russian girl Anfisa became his wife. In the spring of 2014, the first child was born, a daughter named Taisiya. After 2 years, the son of Nicephorus was born.
