Biography
The famous actor Benicio Del Toro was born in 1967 in Puerto Rico. After the death of his mother in 1976, the family moved to Mercerburg, where the boy was not immediately able to overcome the language and cultural barriers, remaining an outcast at school. Yet perseverance allowed him to successfully complete his secondary education and enter the University of San Diego. The young man wanted to become a manager, but discovered a passion for the stage.
After dropping out of his studies, Del Toro went to Los Angeles, where he began to study acting with private teachers. After a while, he began attending auditions for filming, and in 1989 the aspiring actor was invited to play a small role in the James Bond film License to Kill. So Benicio became a sought-after actor in action films, and subsequently appeared in such films as "The Running Indian" and "Fearless."
The actor's recognition grew significantly after he played in the films "The Suspects" and "Basquiat" in 1995. For them, he was awarded the Hollywood Independent Spirit Award.
