Pages of history and biography

Our country, which is now called the Russian Federation, differs in many respects from all other state entities. Almost all historians and industry experts note the vastness of the territories and the harsh climate. In such conditions, only collected, purposeful and physically strong people survive and achieve success. Pavel Stepanovich Kutakhov is a typical representative of the Russian people. His biography is inextricably linked with the development of a great state called the Soviet Union.

It is interesting to note that the third child in the Kutakhov family was born in August 1914. The First World War has already begun. What kind of career awaited the boy from a peasant family? This question is easy to answer - hard, unproductive work day in and day out. However, in the years after the end of the Civil War, the country embarked on the path of industrialization and renewal. Wonderful prospects have opened up for young people from the masses of the people. Under the leadership of the Party and the Government, grandiose construction projects were unfolded, the army, aviation and navy were strengthened.

Love for the profession is instilled in a person from a young age. Pavlik Kutakhov first graduated from a factory school and received a referral to an aircraft plant. The work immediately captivated the young and savvy fitter. In parallel with his work in the shop, he studied in the evenings at the working faculty of the local university. Personal life in such a tight time frame remained in second or third place. In the summer of 1935, Kutakhov was sent to the Stalingrad Military Aviation School.

Serving the Fatherland

After completing his studies, Lieutenant Kutakhov arrived to serve in a unit stationed near Leningrad. His wife, and Pavel had started a family by that time, always followed her chosen one. At the same time, the husband believed that the first thing was the planes. Literally a year later, the war with Finland began. During the hostilities, the future air marshal made more than 130 sorties. In one of the battles, his plane was shot down, and the pilot himself miraculously escaped by parachute and got to the location of his troops. The experience gained during this period was useful to the Soviet assassin in the future.

When the Great Patriotic War began, Pavel Kutakhov was transferred to the Karelian Front as a squadron commander. Here, in the northern theater of military operations, his talent as a fighter pilot and commander was revealed to the maximum. At a certain stage of the war, the pilots were faced with a responsible task - to protect the sea convoys, which delivered the cargo necessary for the front, from America to the Murmansk port. Major Kutakhov made several sorties in an American-made fighter "Airacobra".

In 1943, Kutakhov was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. The famous pilot by that time was respected by his comrades in arms and knew well how the personnel of the regiment, which he commanded, lived. After the end of the war, Pavel Stepanovich continued to serve and received a higher specialized education at the Academy of the General Staff. Creativity and accurate calculation, these principles guided him when he made important decisions. Moving up the career ladder, he was appointed Commander-in-Chief of the country's Air Force.
