"Lipstick Jungle" is a series filmed in the popular genre of comedy melodrama. It tells the story of the adventures and affairs of the heart of three friends, each of whom is not only a beautiful woman, but also a successful business woman.
The series "Lipstick Jungle" is not as well known to the general audience as the similar one in the exposition "Sex and the City". However, the "Jungle" has its undoubted advantages. Screenwriters Eilen Hazler and DeAnn Halin used Candace Bushnell's book of the same name as the basis for their own vision of New York City's "high society" life.
Comedy melodrama allows you to see and understand the daily affairs and concerns of three friends.
The plot and the main characters
Three young women are representatives of the New York business elite. In the course of the development of the plot, the personal and business life of each of them will be sanctified.
Victoria Ford is a fashion stylist. Victoria will have to go through a disastrous presentation of her fashion clothes and start all over again as a designer. But every cloud has a silver lining. It is thanks to her embarrassment that she strikes up a relationship with Joe Bennett, a wealthy man whose capital is several billion dollars.
Wendy Hillie is the wife of the musician Sheiman and the mother of two. As often happens, there is a misunderstanding in the family for two reasons: Sheiman does not have a permanent source of income, and Wendy, the director of the Parador Pictures film studio, does not have enough time for a career and family happiness. In the course of the development of the plot, everything changes in the diametrically opposite direction: Sheiman earns more and more decent fees, and Wendy is fired from a leading position.
Nico Riley is the editor-in-chief of Bonfire Magazine. One day Niko meets a young man, Kirby Wetwood. He makes a living by photographing. However, Niko is married to Charles Stern. Charles is a lecturer with a Ph. D. who has lectured for Nico at one time.
Nico's attention to Kirby is due to the cooling of her relationship with her husband.
