Childhood and youth

Zatulin Konstantin Fedorovich was born in 1958 in the Georgian city of Batumi. His parents are from the Don Cossacks, his father served in the border troops for many years. After his resignation, he headed the city administration of beaches in Sochi.

The boy spent his childhood in the south of Russia, he was the third child in the family. After graduating from the Sochi high school, the young man decided to continue his education in the capital. However, he entered the history faculty of Moscow State University only on the second attempt. During his studies, Zatulin showed himself to be an active Komsomol member, was engaged in ideological work among students of history. He joined the operational Komsomol detachment of the faculty, and by the end of his studies he commanded a detachment of the university. In 1981, he graduated with honors from the university, and 4 years later - graduate school at Moscow State University, defended his thesis.

In 1984, Konstantin Fedorovich joined the Communist Party. Thanks to this, the graduate retained a place in the dormitory for graduate students and continued to be the commissar of the Moscow State University detachment. In 1987, he was invited to the leadership of the Komsomol for the post of assistant secretary of the Central Committee of the Komsomol. This gave the young man a permanent residence permit and an apartment in Moscow. Subsequent years Zatulin supervised the creation of the Association of Young Historians, was engaged in the issues of scientific and technical creativity of youth.

When the Association of Young Business Leaders was created in 1989, Konstantin took over as executive director. A year later, the organization grew into an all-Union association of enterprise managers headed by General Director Zatulin. During this period, his photos began to appear on the pages of newspapers, and his career moved from an economic to a political plane.

In 1990, Zatulin created the Democratic Russia candidate bloc and tried to be among the deputies of the Moscow Soviet. The number of leaflets distributed in mailboxes and posted on the streets in support of the candidate has become a record. Only a low voter turnout prevented Konstantin from realizing his plans.

Among other organizers, Zatulin created the Moscow Commodity Exchange, which was later renamed the Russian Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange. He worked in the Exchange Committee and at the same time was its co-chairman. During the same period, Zatulin opened the Robrok brokerage office and headed it.

In 1992, a group of entrepreneurs organized the Entrepreneurial Political Initiative-92 association. Thanks to his membership in this organization, Konstantin became a member of the State Duma in 1993.

In 1996, Zatulin headed his brainchild - the Institute of the CIS Countries, and a year later became an assistant to the head of the Moscow administration. After 2 years, the politician replaced Alexander Rutskoy and headed the patriotic movement "Derzhava". In the same year, the organization initiated the creation of the Otechestvo association, whose Central Council included Konstantin Fedorovich.

Since 2002, the famous politician has become a frequent guest on television. For 10 years he hosted author's weekly programs on TV Center: "Materik", "Political Kitchen", "Matter of Principle", "Russian Question". During political discussions, his point of view was notable for its argumentation and persuasiveness. He published a lot in Russian and foreign media and even wrote a book about the Orange Revolution in Ukraine.

Personal life

There is one marriage in Zatulin's biography. With his wife Zinaida Konstantin studied at the same faculty of Moscow State University, they got married as students. The couple raised their daughter Daria, who graduated from MGIMO and became a journalist, works in the Ministry of Defense. Today the youngest in the Zatulin family are the granddaughters Nadia and Agnia.

In addition to political activities, Deputy Zatulin is doing a lot of public work. He serves on the Board of Trustees of several foundations and organizations. Provides consultations to the CEC and the leadership of the Republic of Crimea.
