Will pensions be indexed, when and by what amount? This issue is of concern to millions of pensioners in the country today. According to the official statement of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation D. A. Medvedev, the indexation of pensions in 2017 will be carried out in full, including a lump sum.
Earlier, in February of each year, the increase in pensions was on average equal to the inflation rate over the past year. What is planned with pensions in 2017? It is known that when preparing the budget of the Russian Federation for the upcoming 2017, the government received an order from the Prime Minister of the country to provide for cost items associated with an increase in the size of pensions. The size of the indexation should take into account the real inflation rate in the country.
In his instruction to the government, the Prime Minister emphasized that the measures developed would allow to return the pension indexation schedule to a normal state. In the meantime, preliminary decisions are known to increase the following types of pensions:
· For pensioners living in villages, indexation is planned after January 1, 2017.
Old-age pensions will be roughly increased from February 1, 2017.
· Also, from February 1, a lump sum payment of 5,000 rubles to each retired person, including military and working pensioners, approved by the State Duma and the Government of the Russian Federation, will begin.
This amount should become part of the indexation compensation for the second half of 2016, and for military pensioners this amount even exceeds the planned increase for the second half of 2016.
The government has confirmed that pensioners will not have to pay tax on income from a lump sum payment of 5,000 rubles!
· From April 1, 2017, the increase is planned for recipients of social benefits.
· For military personnel, the date for changing the amount of pensions is set from October 01, 2017
Based on the estimated size of the indexation, the average pension will increase by 450-750 rubles. More precisely, it will be possible to say closer to February 2017.
