Alexey Loktev is a popular Soviet and Russian actor and theater director. Loktev was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFR, is a laureate of the USSR State Prize.

Kinchev's song "What then" is dedicated to Alexei Vasilyevich. In 2006, Loktev went to the Far East to participate in the Amur Autumn Film Festival. On September 17, the famous film and theater figure died in a car accident near Blagoveshchensk.
