Actress Tamara Degtyareva entered the history of Soviet cinema thanks to the serial film "Eternal Call". In it, she played one of the main characters - Agatha Savelyeva. For almost half a century, the actress performed on the stage of the Sovremennik Theater. In the last years of her life she was confined to a wheelchair, but even in this state she went on stage.

Biography: early years

Tamara Vasilievna Degtyareva was born on May 29, 1944 in Korolev, Moscow Region. The craving for creativity woke up in her during her school years. Then she was an active participant in the amateur art circle and dreamed of becoming an artist in the future.

After school, Tamara studied at the Schepkinsky school. Having become a certified artist, she was assigned to the Moscow Theater for Young Spectators. In the acting environment, working there was not considered prestigious, but Degtyareva was happy to play for young spectators. Inna Churikova, Lia Akhedzhakova, Alisa Freindlich - they all also began their career in the theater of the Youth Theater.

Degtyareva was involved in the following performances:

  • "Hey you, hello!";
  • "A man of seventeen";
  • "Romeo and Juliet";
  • "Natasha".

Career

Tamara served in the Moscow Youth Theater for five seasons. In 1970 she became an actress of the famous "Contemporary". Degtyareva played on his stage until her death. She came to Sovremennik at a difficult time for him - at the time of a change in leadership. Shortly before her arrival, Oleg Efremov moved to the Moscow Art Theater, and Galina Volchek was put in his place. The situation in the troupe was tense: the actors fought for a place under the new "sun".

At first, the directors trusted Tamara with supporting roles. The actress played in 29 productions of Sovremennik, including:

  • “And in the morning they woke up”;
  • "Valentine and Valentine";
  • "Demons";
  • "Steep route";
  • "Naked Pioneer".

In 1968, Tamara made her film debut. She was then still an actress of the Youth Theater. Tamara got a role in the film "Meetings at Dawn". In it, the actress brilliantly played the main character - the peasant woman Galya Makarova. This was followed by supporting roles in the films "Own Island" and "The Way Home".

In 1971, Degtyareva again got the main role. In the film "Nyurkina's Life" she played a factory worker Nyuru.

In 1973, Tamara became an all-Union favorite, playing in "Eternal Call". She played in it Agatha Savelyeva, who is waiting for a spouse from the front, but dies at the hands of bandits. For this role, she was awarded the USSR State Prize.

In 1986, Degtyareva played her last major film role. It was in the film "Where is your son?" Subsequently, she starred only in film adaptations of the productions of her native "Contemporary".

In parallel with her work in the theater, Degtyareva was engaged in teaching activities. So, she lectured at VGIK.

In 2012, the actress had her leg amputated. After the operation, she began to move in a wheelchair. Galina Volchek did not deprive her of the joy of working on stage, and Degtyareva continued to go on stage. True, only in one performance - "The Time of Women".

Personal life

Tamara Degtyareva was married to Yuri Pogrebnichko. He subsequently became a renowned theater director. It was rumored that the couple broke up because of Yuri's betrayal. Degtyareva has no children.

On August 9, 2018, the actress died. An urn with her ashes is located at the Nikolo-Arkhangelsk cemetery near Moscow.
