When moving to a new place of residence, or even just when leaving for a long period, the question of transporting a considerable amount of things inevitably arises. When it is necessary to cross the border of another state, the severity of the problem increases significantly. And the border between Russia and Ukraine is no exception.

Step 1
Think over a list of things you need to send. Assess how much you need them in your new location. Perhaps something is better left altogether. And other things will be easier to sell and buy similar in a new place (even if used). Do not forget that the larger the volume and weight of the cargo, the more you will pay for it.
Step 2
Remember that you may have to pay for customs clearance. It depends on many factors: the citizenship of which country the sender and the recipient have, for what purpose things are transported, what kind of transport is involved in sending, etc.
Step 3
Pack your cargo carefully. It depends on the reliability of the packaging in what form you receive it at the end point. And at the point of departure, it is unlikely that they will take badly packed things from you for storing in a container.
Step 4
Determine the tonnage of the container in which your belongings will fit. They are of small, medium and large tonnage. However, when contacting a specialized transport organization, they will help you with this. Choose the most optimal transport for you, how you will send the container. Your cargo can be delivered to Ukraine in many ways: by road, rail, air travel and even by sea.
Step 5
Not all transport companies will undertake the delivery of a container to Ukraine (if there is no agreement with this country, then the container simply will not come back). Therefore, find a company whose mechanism for such transportation has already been debugged. Here are several responsible organizations involved in container shipping to Ukraine: ZhelDorEkspeditsiya (jde.ru), Olimp Logistic (olimp-logistic.ru), TK Yul LLC (tkyul.umi.ru).
Step 6
Transportation of a container on a wagon, that is, by road, is convenient because your cargo will be accepted at your home immediately on the spot and, accordingly, will also be delivered to the address indicated in the documents as a delivery point. If you opt for railway transport, then you will have to deliver the cargo to the station yourself, and the recipient will also pick it up at the terminal station himself. But for a fee, the transport organization may offer you to pick up the container from your home and take it to the station. And at the terminal station, it is also quite possible to deliver the container from the station to the final point. Loading and unloading operations in this case are provided in the price list. But in the air and sea ports, neither delivery to the address, nor loading and unloading operations are performed. Transport only. So in this case, you will have to deliver things to the plane and ship yourself.
