Until January 2, 1991, Ukraine was part of the USSR and was a single country with Russia. Payment for mail delivery there was calculated at the standard, domestic rate. After the secession of Ukraine, the rules for sending correspondence also changed.
Instructions
Step 1
In order for the letter to reach the addressee in Ukraine, the required number of stamps must be pasted in the upper right corner of the envelope. Check their number with the post office in person or by phone. Delivery cost depends on the distance to the addressee and the urgency of the shipment. You can buy stamps at the Russian Post offices and at the Soyuzpechat kiosks.
Step 2
Fill in the "To" and "Where" lines in clear block letters, indicating the address and full name of the recipient. It is not necessary to fill in the sender's details. But in this case, the letter will not be returned back if it does not reach the addressee.
Step 3
There is no need to go to the post office to send a letter to Ukraine. The envelope can be dropped into any mailbox. But then the letter will take a long time.
Step 4
To get the letter quickly, go to the Russian Post office. Each of them has a special box for international correspondence. By lowering the envelope into it, you can save time on sorting.
Step 5
Send a registered letter to Ukraine through a special window in the Russian Post offices. To be accepted, show your passport to the post office employee. The document data will be added to the database. If the envelope does not reach the addressee, it will certainly be returned to the sender. In addition to a general civil passport, you can present as an identity card:
- international passport;
- military ID;
- residence;
- certificate of a member of the Federation Council or a Deputy of the State Duma;
- national passport or ID card with a Russian visa.
Step 6
The exact address of the recipient with an index, his last name, first name, patronymic is indicated on the envelope. Organization name - if the letter is addressed to a legal entity. Items "return address" and "name of the sender" in registered mail are required.
Step 7
Registered mail is assigned an identification number, which can be used to track its movement to the recipient. In any postal transit point, these numbers are entered into the database. If the letter is lost, you can find out where it happened. When the correspondence reaches the desired post office, the addressee receives a receipt with the notification that an envelope is awaiting him. If it is necessary for the mail to be handed in personally, tell the registering officer about it. He will make a special mark on the envelope.
