Children's biography
On December 15, 1942, the future talented pop singer Shavrina Ekaterina Feoktistovna was born in the old Ural settlement of Pyshma. The girl's father, Feoktist Evstigneevich, and the entire Shavrins family, ranked themselves among the Old Believers, which cannot be said about Feodosia Evgenievna - Katya's mother, refined and sophisticated, having a noble origin, but becoming a submissive and faithful wife accepted her husband's faith.
The children, and there were six of them with Katya, were brought up in severity and obedience. In the family, cleanliness and order have always been in the first place, maybe that's why even now Ekaterina Feoktistovna's house is dazzlingly clean. And yet, Ekaterina Feoktistovna is very squeamish, she cannot cope with this; will never eat or drink from dishes before washing them herself.
Difficult years
As a child, little Katya did not speak for a long time, until she was four years old. In the village they whispered about the curse, and the parents took the girl to various doctors and healers, but the prognosis was the same - she was deaf and dumb. A doctor from Yekaterinburg gave hope for recovery. After the operation, the girl not only spoke for the first time, but also sang. Later, the family moved to Perm, where Katya went to school. At school, the girl sang always and everywhere, performed at all holidays and concerts.
In 1956 Feoktist Evstigneevich died. Having lost her father and breadwinner, Catherine, on an equal basis with everyone, began to work, although she was only 14 years old. Katya from an early age was accustomed to hard work and was not afraid of difficulties, so she got a job as a cleaner in the House of Culture. In the same institution, she periodically began to sing and perform at concerts. Later, Ekaterina sang in the Russian folk choir in Osa, and when the girl was 16 years old, she became a soloist in the State Volga Folk Choir in Samara.
Career and popularity
The first popularity of the future artist was brought by the songs written by the composer Grigory Ponomarenko, but this was not enough for the talented and stubborn Ekaterina and it was decided to go to Moscow. In Moscow, the girl graduates from a music school, then there were a creative workshop of pop art and GITIS. At the age of 22, namely in 1964, Ekaterina Feoktistovna became the soloist of the Mosconcert, where she is still in demand.
Personal life
The artist's personal life began after her meeting with Grigory Ponomarenko, thus, whose songs brought her first success. Catherine was 16, Grigory was 41 at that time, but, despite the huge difference in age, a mutual feeling flared up between them, which gave them a wonderful son, Grisha. Due to Shavrina's move to Moscow, their union broke up, and Ekaterina Feoktistovna was left alone with a child in her arms. The singer's second marriage to musician Grigory Lazdin gave two charming daughters - Ella and Zhanna. Now the artist's grandchildren are already growing up, giving boundless happiness and peace.
