Biography
David Hamilton was born in rainy and gloomy London on April 15, 1933. The young years of the English photographer fell on the terrible time of the fascist expansion. The Second World War intervened in the fate of the boy. He had to give up his education at a London school when the family moved to calm Dorset for safety reasons. However, everything ends and with the onset of peacetime, the parents return to the capital, where David completed his training course.
When the guy was twenty years old, he decides to move to France. He was attracted by the delicious Parisian air and the opportunity to get a job as a graphic designer. Fate smiled at David Hamilton - the editor-in-chief of the secular magazine ELLE Peter Knapp kindly offered the aspiring photo artist a prestigious and interesting job on the design of the pages of the famous periodical. His career went uphill, his photographic illustrations were in constant demand among readers. Sales grew. Hamilton has become in demand as an art director. At various times he had to work in this capacity for the publishing house Queen and the French Printems.
