Biography
Irina was born in March 1953. in St. Petersburg. The girl grew up in a creative family, her mother was a concertmaster and worked at the conservatory, her father was the head of a jazz orchestra.

Ponarovskaya's musical career began while studying at the conservatory. The Singing Guitars collective needed a soloist, the head of the VIA was familiar with I. Ponarovskaya's father, who asked to listen to the girl. After that, Ira was taken to the team. She performed with the group in the period from 1971-1976. and was very happy with life.
In 1975. the rock opera "Orpheus and Eurydice" was staged, which was a great success. Irina was taken on the role of Eurydice. The band was invited to Germany for a music festival. To stand out, Irina began to wear a very short haircut. She won 1st prize at the festival.
In 1976. she performed in Sopot, at the request of the audience, she sang the song "Prayer" twice. Abroad, Ponarovskaya enjoyed great success.
Upon her return to her homeland, the singer was offered a job in the O. Lundstrem jazz orchestra. Ponarovskaya continued her studies at the conservatory. I. Ponarovskaya was married several times. Her first husband is G. Kleimits, the leader of the Singing Guitars group. The marriage lasted 1, 5 years. In the 2nd p.
