Alexey Timofeevich Cherkasov lived a very eventful and difficult life. He wrote many stories on the theme of war and revolution, peasant and rich life. Unfortunately, he drew material for them from his own bitter experience.
Biography
The beginning of the summer of 1915 for a peasant family from a village on the outskirts of Russia was marked by the birth of their eldest son, Alyosha. Basically, the future writer was raised by his grandfather, since his father made the decision to leave the family early. Alexei's grandfather was a surprisingly educated person, he managed to get a good store of knowledge and was able to teach his grandson to read and write. It was he who, from childhood, instilled in the future writer a love for creative and poetic activity.
The hungry years began, an ordinary incomplete family from the village became completely unbearable. Cherkasov's mother decided to send all her children, including Alexei, to an educational institution for the young Soviet generation. There it was decided to assign him to a higher educational institution, which he did not manage to graduate, in the middle of his studies he was sent to collectivization.
In the mid-30s, Cherkasov was accused of a crime that he did not commit. He was sent to work on the construction of a river channel. Before the start of the Great Patriotic War, he was fully acquitted and received compensation. After a while, Alexei was again deprived of his freedom.
Now he was sentenced to be shot, but miraculously survived and spent many years in a psychiatric hospital, healing a non-existent disease. Upon arrival from there, his creative career began, which lasted almost until the end of Cherkasov's life.
Later, most of the time he worked as a specialist in horticultural crops in his native country and neighboring republics. He died in mid-April 1973 at the age of 58.
Creation
At the end of the 40s, the first collection of Alexei Timofeevich was published under the title "In the Siberian Side". Then the work "For Life" saw the light, which was embodied in a stage form in the local theater organization. Many of Cherkasov's works were lost due to the hype during his wrongful arrests.
The main emphasis in the writer's novels and legends was placed on realism. He always wanted to convey to the reader that there is a lot of evil in the real world, but with due effort, faith in goodness will never yield. As a man who had served years of corrective labor, he could talk about the dark side of everyday life.
Personal life
Despite the severity of Alexei's life, he managed to find the love of his life as a reward. They met as if according to a pre-written script. He was a compulsory prisoner in a psychiatric institution, she was engaged in autopsy and reading letters from patients. It just so happened that her attention was attracted by the records of the unknown Cherkasov to his own mother, she decided to meet with him.
Anna immediately noticed that Alexei was not mentally ill and helped him to free himself from the unfair imprisonment. They soon became husband and wife. The wife helped the writer create stories. They had two children: Alyosha and Natalya.
