The ability to memorize people, their faces and names, disposes. It will be pleasant and flattering to any of your new acquaintances if after the first acquaintance you, upon meeting, recognize him and call him by name and patronymic. This is a rather rare quality that will be immediately noted as positive if you ask others to describe you. Like any skill, it can be developed through exercise and memory training.

Instructions

Step 1

Formulate for yourself a list of the characteristic features of a person's appearance, dividing them by body part. So, the head, in size, can be large, small and ordinary, in shape - square, oval, rectangular, round, trapezoidal or rectangular, wide or narrow. Human facial features can be large, small, mixed, symmetrical and not symmetrical. Hair also has its own characteristic: color, length, density, structure (curly, straight, wavy). Thus, any part of the face can be characterized: eyes, eyebrows, forehead, nose, lips, ears.

Step 2

Using photographs of people, try to describe them. It makes no sense to characterize every facial feature, especially if it is unremarkable. Highlight the ones that most attract attention and mentally link them to the person's personality. To complicate the exercise, you can assign each photo a fictitious name, patronymic and surname, write them down on the back. Describe verbally or write down a list of the salient features of each and remove the photographs. After a while, without taking out the photograph, try to remember their "names" and those features that caught your attention, write down everything that you managed to remember. Compare your answers by looking at the pictures.

Step 3

Take a photo of a stranger and examine it closely for 2-3 minutes. Set aside the photo and give a detailed description of his appearance - what shape his eyebrows, eyes, how they are located. Describe the oval of the face, the shape of the lips, chin and nose, the location of the ears. Describe the hairstyle and hair. Compare the picture with the description you gave.

Step 4

Use the ability of memory to better remember associative images. Perhaps a person's face evokes associations with some kind of animal, and some of its individual parts are associated with something else. So, fused eyebrows can resemble a wave, eyes - saucers or peas, nose - potatoes, eyelashes - fan. Take pictures of 8-10 people and create an associative image of them. Sign under each one that you remind you of some part of his face or the whole face as a whole. Try to explain why this or that image came to your mind. After a while, go back to the photos and check yourself.

Step 5

These exercises should be performed regularly, gradually transferring them into reality. By training your memory using this technique, you will learn to memorize people's faces and their names.
