Oblomov was born on March 21, 1984 in Rostov-on-Don. He graduated from the Faculty of History, also has a law degree. He is a public figure.

The musician's father is a businessman with a Ph. D. in technical sciences, his mother is a philologist, who helped compose poetry for performances in her school years. Vasily studied at a school with an English bias, later his parents insisted on taking music lessons. At first, studying in a musical direction did not quite suit Oblomov, he treated it as an additional duty. In one of his interviews, he called his theatrical performance of the song “Fly away, cloud” a "disgrace".

Later he realized how wonderful musical art is, and that he has a soul for it. As a child, he attended a concert by the band Uriah Heep, where he was overwhelmed by the strong atmosphere in the hall, the energy of the crowd, but at the same time the harmony of one of the most successful hard rock bands in the history of hard rock. After the desire to attend music school became stronger, rock appeared in life. "Nirvana", "Metallica" - legendary bands that did not pass by the formation of a musician. Since the age of 15 he has been composing songs and even created his own group "Cheboza". The story behind the name comes from a misreading of the title of The Bazaar magazine. Apparently the musician tried to show his knowledge of school English as original as possible.

Vasily could play a variety of instruments: bass guitar, keyboards, drums. He also had amazing vocals. The repertoire was mainly dominated by songs in the genre "Brit-pop". Therefore, teenage girls especially loved their work. After the institute in Rostov, the musician went to conquer the northern capital. More famous later last compositions by Oblomov: "Rhythms of Windows" and "Memento Mori", used in the sensational film "Duhless".

New trends in creativity and the history of the creation of the pseudonym

In 2009, Vasily began to master a relatively new style for him - rap. Immediately follows the parody song "Cornflowers" based on Eminem's hit "Stan". The song was about an obsessed fan who committed suicide, because the idol Dmitry Malikov did not pay attention to him.

Vasily didn't have to come up with a pseudonym for a long time, tk. the musician is the namesake of Ivan Goncharov, author of the novel Oblomov.

In 2013, an Internet video clip with the title "It's Time to Blame" appeared, which in 7 days managed to gain 0.5 million views. In March he received the Golden Joker award from Maxim, in October - the Snob project Made in Russia. Then comes the third disc entitled "Breaking", which included musical feuilletons, which were written in view of the events of the murder of a gay man, about 90 billion tons of accumulated waste, etc. Together with Garik Sukachev, he shot a wedge for the song "Fucking shame", and was later included in the jury of the "Artdokfest" film festival.

In February 2014, a video for the song "I walk around Moscow" was released, where Artem Mikhalkov starred. Next comes the clip "We Don't Leave Our Own", filmed on the theme of the flight of President Yanukovych from Ukraine. In December, the 4th album by Vasya Oblomov was released, which was named "Multi-move". It included 13 songs, one of which was written based on the poems of Joseph Brodsky, and the other on the verses of Sergei Yesenin. Even the Kommersant newspaper marked the album as 1 of the 10 best Russian music releases of the winter.

2016 will be remembered for the first "live" album of the artist: "More alive than all the living". In the summer he releases an interesting video work for the song "In internal emigration" together with journalist Andrei Vasiliev.

Personal life
