One of the members of the famous rock group "Pink Floyd" Richard Wright was born on July 28, 1945 in a family of representatives of the British middle class. Parents lived in London.
Richard grew and developed with care and attention. When the boy was four years old, he was ordered to wear a tuxedo on holidays, and to master the technique of playing the piano on weekdays. Already in his student years he learned to play the guitar, trumpet and trombone. After completing his secondary education at a private school, Wright entered the architecture department of the Polytechnic Institute.
In his second year, in 1963, Richard met fellow students who performed on stage, performing their own songs. Two years later, with the arrival of another member, the performers announced the creation of the Pink Floyd group.
On a creative wave
At first, the authors and performers needed to "get used to" each other. They recorded their first disc in the spring of 1967. And by the fall, the debut album was released, which was noticed by critics and music lovers. To achieve a stable position in the music market, a variety of attributes are required. Richard's meaningful songs attracted a certain part of the audience, but this was not enough. In addition to this, I had to create grandiose light compositions. Since that time, other groups began to use light and musical effects.
Richard took an active part in the design of the albums. As a person familiar with the basics of graphic design, he managed to create an attractive cover. When the disc called "The Dark Side of the Moon" went on sale, Wright became famous in all civilized countries. This was followed by work on the following projects.
Until a certain point, Richard made his feasible contribution to the common cause. However, it so happened that the keyboardist left the group for a while.
Recognition and privacy
Richard Wright's musical career, despite strife and scandals, was successful. Audiences and critics recognized him as the best songwriter and great musician. Returning to the team, he did not manage to complete all the planned projects.
You can talk a lot and for a long time about Richard's personal life. The musician was married three times. Each time, the husband and wife found good reasons for parting. Three children grew up without paternal care. Wright died suddenly of cancer in 2008.
