early years
The girl was born in England in the summer of 1965. When she was three years old, the family moved to Canada, where Amanda spent her entire childhood. Parents from an early age tried to instill in the girl a love of science, but Amanda completely surrendered to creativity. No persuasion of father and mother could change the situation.
During her school years, Amanda became a member of a drama circle, where children not only got acquainted with the art of theater, but also studied acting, wrote scripts themselves, staged performances.
Amanda was so carried away by creativity that she almost completely abandoned the rest of her studies. In high school, she even had to forget about the stage for a while and correct her grades in the main subjects. As soon as the situation changed, the girl began to attend the circle again. Soon she became the owner of the main school theater award.
Parents could not persuade Amanda to do science. Gradually, the girl herself introduced the family to art. Together with their mother, they discussed interesting films and TV series, and with their father they constantly watched his favorite comedy show performed by the famous group "Monty Python".
Creative way
After graduating from high school, Tupping continued her education at the university, where she studied acting and theater arts. After receiving her diploma, Amanda got a job at a theater located in Toronto.
Soon the young actress was invited to television, where she was offered roles in several projects. The girl did not immediately agree, but, having tried herself in one of the television shows, she decided to pursue a career in television.
Gradually, Amanda gained popularity and began to receive rather high fees. Then Tupping decided to create her own project. She invited two of her friends and started the Random Acts troupe. The girls staged their own comedy mini-performances, appeared on television, toured cities and took part in many theater festivals.
Despite the immense popularity of the trio, in 1995 Amanda decided to suspend the project in order to come to grips with filming. At that time, she received a huge number of offers from producers and directors.
Soon, Tupping was offered to take part in the casting for one of the main roles in the Stargate project. There were a huge number of applicants, but Tupping was able to go through all the selection stages. She ended up getting her starring role as Samantha Carter.
Amanda has worked in the project with great success for over ten years. In between the seasons, the famous actress also continued to appear in other films, among which were: "Supernatural", "Shelter", "Wizard of Earthsea", "Millennium".
